Sotto gli Appennini si vede Mare Vaporum dove nella separazione con Mare Serenitatis troviamo il cratere Manilius
In alto vediamo il Mare Frigoris con i crateri Aristoteles Eudoxus.

The Duomo di Taormina (Cattedrale di San Nicolò di Bari) dates back to the 13th century. The Duomo, dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Bari, has a distinctly fortress-like quality thanks to its robust structure and the battlements that delineate the roof. The outside maintains its Gothic character, including the small rose window at the west end. The Renaissance doorway is evidence to the reconstructions during the 15th and 16th centuries which are more apparent in the interior of the church.

La foto fa parte della collezione "Pedalando in bicicletta": una raccolta di scatti che raccontano le mie pedalate.
La particolarità, la mia "firma" sulle foto, è la presenza almeno in parte della mia bicicletta.
Quando si dice fotografare a Km 0
Questo scatto mi ha dato una grande soddisfazione, non è frutto di appostamenti, ma semplicemente di fortuna, sono entrato in ufficio e ho visto dalla finestra, su un ramo di ciliegio allo scoperto in piena luce questo tenero cucciolo, la fortuna a voluto che avessi la macchina fotografica a portata di mano un solo scatto senza curarmi di niente, salvo stare immobile perchè con un 600mm c'è sempre il rischio di sfocatura, poi si è alzato in volo e non lo più visto per tutto il giorno.

Esta foto me dio una gran satisfacción, no el resultado de emboscadas, sino simplemente de la suerte, llegué a la oficina y vi desde la ventana, en una rama de cerezo al aire libre en plena luz del día este perrito dulce, la suerte había querido la cámara a su alcance en una sola toma, sin preocuparse por nada más que estar quieto con un 600, porque siempre hay el riesgo de falta de definición, se puso de pie en el aire y no lo he visto todo el día.

The cattedrale di San Nicolò in Noto was constructed 1694-1703 in a Baroque style, but work continued until 1776. It is at the center of the new Baroque city of Noto that arose after the old one was leveled in the devastating earthquake of 1693. The roof of the cathedral collapsed in 1996, but it has been reconstructed since.
This moving memorial is dedicated to the refugees who drowned in the Mediterranean, trying to reach the shores of Sicily from Africa. It consists of boat fragments. The inscription is a quote from Pope Francis and says: "Chi piangerà per questi morti?" (Who will cry for these dead?)

The Civita di Bagnoregio, situated on a steep hills, can only be reached via a footbridge from the nearby town Bagnoregio. Very few people still live in the Civita which, due its eroding and thus unstable foundation, is known as „the dying city“.
Le Marocche di Dro presso il lago di Cavedine in Trentino, sono formate da un vasto deposito di natura calcarea la cui origine è legata alle glaciazioni: questo fenomeno geomorfologico è dovuto al fatto che una vallata, percorsa da un ghiacciaio, subisce sui suoi fianchi e sul suo fondo forze e spinte tali da modificarne anche la forma; nel momento in cui il ghiacciaio, poi, si ritira, i blocchi di roccia frantumati e smossi e gli strati inclinati non hanno più il sostegno della massa del ghiaccio, e perciò si staccano crollando nel fondovalle. Ovviamente si tratta di un processo molto lungo, iniziato circa 100 o 200 mila anni fa e i cui effetti devono aver avuto ripercussioni anche in epoca storica travolgendo probabilmente anche insediamenti umani.
