Come grandezza, la piramide di Chefren, è la seconda dopo la famosa piramide del padre Cheope con grandi blocchi grezzi ed irregolari disposti con scarsa precisione nella prima metà mentre verso la sommità appaiono disposti più regolarmente, anche se movimenti sismici si sono ripercossi sulle pietre spostandole di vari millimetri.
La piramide appare più alta di quella di Cheope perché costruita su uno zoccolo di roccia alto circa 10 metri e ciò nonostante sia priva anche di parte della cima e del pyramidion.
Ha la particolarità di essere l'unica piramide che conservi sulla sommità parziale copertura in calcare bianco di Tura che originariamente ricopriva l'intera struttura mentre la base è rivestita di "pietra etiopica variegata" così come la definisce Erodoto ovvero granito rosso e grigio di Assuan.
Presenta due ingressi dovuti ad un cambiamento del progetto iniziale, uno a circa 11,54 metri di altezza e l'altro a livello del suolo, che è quello attualmente usato.

Ha "trascinato" il suo vitello di quasi un quintale, da casa sua, distante tre chilometri di cammino tra i pendii innevati, fino all'area di ritrovo per le visite veterinarie! Le Grotte di Pertosa-Auletta, a 40 minuti da Salerno, sono l’unico sito speleologico in Europa dove è possibile navigare un fiume sotterraneo, addentrandosi verso il cuore della montagna. Il fiume Negro nasce in profondità e vi offre un affascinante ed inconsueto viaggio in barca, immersi in un silenzio magico, interrotto soltanto dal fragore degli scrosci della cascata sotterranea. Le Grotte si estendono per circa tremila metri nel massiccio dei Monti Alburni, in un percorso ricco di concrezioni, dove stalattiti e stalagmiti decorano ogni spazio con forme, colori e dimensioni diverse, suscitando stupore ed emozione.

The caves stretch for about three thousand meters in the Massif Alburni Mountains , a path full of concretions , where stalactites and stalagmites decorate any space with shapes , colors and sizes , arousing astonishment and emotion .

Orrì is considered one of the most beautiful and clean beaches in the whole of Sardinia. It is a very long and wide beach, with almost 16 kilometres of shoreline, characterised by fine, white sand and shallow waters, which stay shallow for around three hundred meters offshore, and are light sky-blue in colour. The beach is made up of white sand and rocks, smoothed over time, both on the seashore and surfacing in its waters of a changing blue due to the plays of light created by the sun reflected on the seabed.
The beach is easily reached by going along the panoramic SS 125 main road, past the inhabited area of Tortolì where there are signposts for the beach is a further 4 kilometres away.
The beach of Orrì is characterised by shallow waters that allow children to play freely.
The beach is full of facilities: it has a large car park, suitable for campervans, campsite, cafe, and other places where food is served, and pubs and clubs which offer a lively nightlife. It is possible to rent beach umbrellas, sun-loungers and pedal boats.
Being a windy area, it is the ideal spot for surfers and is much loved by scuba fishing enthusiasts or those just wanting to dive in its waters.
