The final version of this design.
We almost launched with this. I coded it all up with DHTML dropdown menus on the top bar and everything. Meg hated it and pulled it at the last second. It was a bit too limiting when it comes to fitting text into it.
We created one of NASCAR.com’s best-performing promos ever. Would we do it again? Not exactly. Yes, our sweepstakes microsite earned more than a million page views and 94,000 entries — but we had to keep it fresh.
So we gave the site itself a make-over. A new game concept upped engagement and exposure to NASCAR partners. A cornucopia of car care product offers drove interest in — and traffic to — those partners.
The re-vamped sweepstakes pulled down more than 270,000 entries, and went on to win the 2009 Automotive Communications Award in the Business-to-Consumer category.

I have been working on a new website. So I am working on a new design for my website. I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. I have not done much to the new site because; I spend a tremendous amount of time reading. Dreamweaver isn’t like iWeb, you have to know a little html to get going, plus you need to have a little understanding of how the w3c works. Here are a few books that I am reading Dreamweaver CS4 The Missing Manual, and Creating a Web Site The Missing Manual. The Dreamweaver CS4 book has almost 1100 pages. So you can imagine its not light reading.
Most sites are built with HTML, DHTML, XML and CSS. I have found some that are built using Flash or have flash components in them. Other sites use Java Script for fancy and smooth looking features. And then you have some sites that have a pseudo Java Script function JQuery. JQuery is a simple way of writing Java Script. Also, you have website that use MySQL and or Php. Then I have found some sites that use a little of everything.
I am so confused. Yesterday with all the new languages that I was learning, I thought to myself “I might as well learn how to read and speak Chinese or Japanese it would be easier”.

If people find your business hard to understand, paint them a simpler picture. As Simpler-Webb showed us how they work, we saw that a sincere passion for problem solving needed to come through loud and clear on their site.
With a well-used whiteboard as a background, we developed a playful aesthetic to underscore that message. Hand-drawn elements emphasize the human touch behind Simpler-Webb solutions. Bonus: The drawings simplify the technical stuff.
Paths for learning about products and services come to life in a clear yet clever voice. A content management system (CMS) allows the client to refresh the site at will.
