This venerable aircraft is getting on for 70 years old. The 1953 De Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk 22 WP930/G-BXHF was nicely posed outside Hangar 17 at Solent Airport.

The best photo I have of an operational Norwegian Twin Otter. It's seen landing at Geilenkirchen in West Germany. A cropped photo. 7062 is now on display in the air force museum at Oslo Gardermoen.

The full leather interior remains in very good condition and everything is working as it should including the cruise control, digital dash and electric ariel. The original wool over-mats are still fitted. In July the car was raised on a ramp to fit four new tyres when the underneath was inspected and appears very solid. Comes with the original service book containing fifteen stamps between 1990 at 1,187 miles and 2009 at 79,922 miles, MoT history, handbooks and wallet. Four owners from new. This aircraft was written off on 9/4/12 at Kigoma, Tanzania when operating a flight to Tabora whilst operating as 5H-MWG with Air Tanzania.
The aircraft overran the runway on take off. The right hand undercarriage struck a muddy pot hole. The right hand wing separated inboard of the number 2 engine. The engine then twisted upside down and to the side, causing the front of the engine to penetrate the fuselage at the underwing emergency exit. There were no fatalities.
