Of the 40+ Chipmunks at Halfpenny Green on Friday, this was surely the most unusual, with a highly modified cockpit canopy. The aircraft has been used for crop spraying, and more recently, banner towing. It also sported this rather spiffy paint scheme, including the bee cartoon on the nose.

The Royal Air Force’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has two de Havilland Chipmunks: WG486 and WK518.
The ‘Chippies’ are the least displayed aircraft on the BBMF fleet, but they are used year-round for the training of the Flight’s pilots on tail-wheel aircraft, the reconnaissance of new venues, and the delivery and collection of pilots and spare parts.

C-FMAU, a 66-year-old de Havilland Canada DHC-3T Super Otter, climbing out from runway 15 at Downsview Airport in Toronto, Ontario.
Serial number 74 began its career as a DHC-3 Otter on February 9, 1956 when it was delivered from Downsview Airport to Manitoba Government Air Service in Winnipeg, Manitoba as CF-MAU. It remained with MGAS until it was retired in February 2005 and put into storage.
In 2007, it had its original Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp radial piston engine replaced with a Garrett TPE331 turbine engine for its current owner. The Texas Turbine Super Otter conversion was performed by Kal-Air Repair Ltd. at Vernon, British Columbia.
Harbour Air's "ePlane" taxis in after arriving from Victoria this evening on what would be the first ever round trip flight to Victoria and back using the aircraft. Not to mention the first ever point-to-point commercial flight using an electric aircraft!

Arriving as "Transport (TGO) 922" this evening after a 6 hour mission out on the coast. This Dash 7 is usually based out of Iqaluit and Moncton, but is seen here subbing in for the YVR based, Dash 8-100 C-GSUR, while it undergoes heavy maintenance.
