Thanksgiving at Bagram. Since we can’t be with family, the DFAC folks go all out to decorate and have the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings. 401st personnel took turns serving before they sat down to enjoy the spread.

The 2nd Brigade Dining Facility is recognized for their outstanding performance. Several Awards are given from Brigadier General Mark R. Stammer the Senior Commander of the 101st Airborne Division . The ceremony takes place in front of the 2nd Brigade Dining Facility on the 16 of May 2013 at 1400.

Fort Gordon military members and DOD civilians were able to get an early taste of a Thanksgiving meal Nov. 21 at dining facility #8. Col. Todd Turner, Fort Gordon garrison commander and Command Sgt. Maj. Charlie Bryant Jr., garrison command sergeant major, were on hand to help serve everyone coming through the food line. Each year a dining facility serves a Thanksgiving meal early to give everyone who will not be on post on Thanksgiving Day a chance to eat the bountiful meal provided.
