Arriving at Deva, on the way to Timisoara, it looked like a deja-vu, with the name of the town written on top of the hill like in Brasov. It was a hot day so after making a little walk along the park and the palace we had to find a place in the shadow and were very thirsty.
Deva Asylum, aka Countess of Chester is situated on the grounds of a live hospital site. Originally opened in 1829 the hospital served a variety of purposes before finally closing in 1996.
