Education and community partners gathered at Jim Deva Plaza in Vancouver’s West End for the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. They were there to celebrate the positive impacts of SOGI-inclusive education and strengthen their commitment to making sure schools are welcoming environments for all students.

The Temple claims that the statues were chiseled by Unkei (?-1223), one of the most famous Buddha statue sculptor during the Kamakura Period and often referred to as Japanese Michelangelo.
The south gate of Angkor Thom is the best preserved. It is approached from outside via a causeway that extends about fifty meters across a moat. On each side of the causeway are railings fashioned with 54 stone figures engaged in the performance of a famous Hindu story: the myth of the Churning of the Ocean. On the left side of the moat, 54 'devas' (guardian gods) pull the head of the snake 'Shesha' while on the right side 54 'asuras' (demon gods) pull the snake's tail in the opposite direction. In this myth, the body of the snake is wrapped around the central mountain—Mt. Meru—perhaps corresponding here to the Bayon temple at the center of the site. In any case, the myth relates that as the Devas pulled the snake in one direction and the gods pushed in the other, the ocean began to churn and precipitate the elements. By alternating back and forth, the ocean was 'milked', forming the earth and the cosmos anew.
27.aprīlī Eiropas Savienības (ES) Kaujas grupas Latvijas kontingents devās uz Lielbritāniju, kur no 27.aprīļa līdz 23.maijam norisinājās vienības sertificēšanas vingrinājums.
Vingrinājumā kontingenta, kura pamatā ir kājnieku rota ar spējām pildīt uzdevumus daudznacionālā vidē, karavīri un zemessargi demonstrēja apgūtās zināšanas.
No 28.marta līdz 9.aprīlim Ādažu poligonā norisinājās nacionālās sertifikācijas vingrinājums, kurā karavīri un zemessargi praktiski pielietoja un demonstrēja apgūtās zināšanas. Šajās divās nedēļās zemessargi veica dažādus taktiskos uzdevumus ar dažādām grūtības pakāpēm – kaujas un taktisko šaušanu, bāzes apsardzi, izlūkošanu, pūļa kontroli, patrulēšanu, darbības mīnu laukā, medicīnas un citus uzdevumus.
Latvijas kontingents 2016.gada dežūrai tiek gatavots uz 1.Zemessardzes novada vienību bāzes. 1.janvārī zemessargi uzsāka apmācību posmu, kas ilgst pusgadu un pēc sekmīgi apgūta apmācību posma un vienības sertificēšanas vingrinājuma Lielbritānijā, jau šī gada otrajā pusē sāktu pildīt dienesta pienākumus Lielbritānijas vadītājā ES Kaujas grupā.

This was in Salina, KS 1997. It was called Deja Vu or Cocoons Two (or Too) as the first one by that title on that spot was destroyed by vandals the night following the River Festival
