Celebrated a pretty cool milestone last week: My photo from Norway - "Europe's best View" - has reached 1.000.000 views thanks to the inculsion in Flickr's Top 25 pictures of 2020.

It's an amazing feeling that so many people saw my work and I really want to thank the Flickr staff for putting me on this exclusive list!

Since I love all the little details of that photo I wanted to share another shot from that same morning with a more detailed view.

The 1935 and 1959 spans of the Iowa-Illinois Memorial Bridge, aka I-74, between Bettendorf, Iowa and Moline, IL. It will soon be replaced by a new bridge.

Considering the size of the Yaquina dredge, one has to wonder if this skinny tiedown has any effect at all.

Castle Mountain always puts on a show. With the range facing WSW, the light is always on it, in some capacity. Every detail about this mountain is stunning, especially the colour.

I have difficulty identifying hawks in flight at a far distance, but there is little doubt about a powerful hawk flying low across a field, with a white patch on the rump...Northern Harrier.

This hawk was seen at a VERY far distance, so it was necessary to crop the picture. Not the sharpest of shots but still with some feather detail and motion blur. Happy to have gotten it for Life Bird Photograph #236.

This 18th century Neoclassical Cathedral was used as a warehouse in the Soviet era, being used again for worship since 1989. Vilnius, Lithuania.
