Take a picture of a permanent architectural detail INSIDE your home (apartment or house).
This is the edge of the alcove in my open plan kitchen/living room. The left hand edge of the green part of the ceiling is level with the patio doors on the other side of the room
Details, Details, Details!!! My life is full of meaningless details! So much so that many times I might just walk right past a beautiful detail that deserves my attention. There is wisdom in slowing down and seeing what is right in front of our noses... Taking the time to absorb the beauty presented at this moment,...it just might have a jewel of wisdom to share.
Peace be with us all
This is my photo for the Flickr birthday challenge for today. The theme this time is 'vintage'. I had to go in to work today (custom cabinet shop) to work on some intricate detailing on some finishing. The crown moulding mimics a vintage style although it is new. I used a vintage lens (Nikkor 50mm 1.4). And as I am turning 50 this year so I suppose I am vintage as well. :)

The leaves have fallen to the ground :D Three exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2. Further Processing with Topaz Detail and Topaz Adjust
From an old SG trip back in 2013. This is what I love about photography. The slowness to the process. Of processing an image 4 years after taking it. Of taking us back to the very moment when we were there. <3 travel & photography
