Fine kistka drawn wax resist marks and third dye wash on habotai silk.

This is one of six abstract pieces in progress.

Fragmentation and wholeness seem to be a strong theme in these works.

It's a way of working, no script, no plan ...

just feeling, responding and interacting with the forms taking shape through the familiarity of process.

Depend on the Lord, trust Him and He will take care of you.

Psalm 37:5

Depending on how you look at this image, it may resonate differently with each of you. It's a focus stacked, blend to get the details and light correct. Could this be done in one shot, yes, the scene could be shot in one shot but it would be impossible to get the details and exposure all in one shot... So, I put the camera inside the old cabin, focus stacked the window frame and then took another shot for the mountain and other cabin. Then later that night I shot the milky way as it was setting over the mountain and blended it into the focus stacked scene to create the final image... That being said, this is an image/scene I plan to re-shoot. After talking with a friend about how to shoot this and get the window frame squared up, it's given me some ideas and I'd like to try it again so the window frame isn't askew...

I hope you all have a great weekend.

From my window!

Beauty is everywhere, it depends on your eye!

Not always landscape photography depends on nice colours and in nature you must be able to take nice photos even in bad weather conditions.

In our recent trip to Iceland we planed to visit Hengifoss a nice waterfall located in the north-east of the island to take some shots. There is a trail of 2,5 km to reach the point and conditions were not very good, it was cold, cloudy and rainy and even more the trail includes a cumulated elevation of 250 m with hard ramps in the beginning. Finally we were able to complete the trail and take some shots under the rain. This is the result, obviously there are no oranges and reds in the sky but the place transmitted calm and serenity.

Everybody has different approach to a photographic composition. You may approach a composition in different ways, depending on how it catches the eye. You may see the subject from a far, approach and circle it doing little framing actions with the hands looking for the right angle, position and elevation. One may instantly see the potential and hover backwards and forwards trying to find a good stance for the tripod. Let’s face it the ways are endless, they say creativity feeds the soul. However with this scene all I was interested in was a tazza e caffe. I was attracted to this fallen tree las potential for parking my bum, I was tired I needed a coffee and a snack and this trunk was as good a place as any. However I was not totally thoughtless in my approach, just as I would be very careful on where I placed my feet in wet sand, here I was extra vigilant on the surrounding vegetation, pity I didn’t have the same idea about the frost covered tree trunk. Maybe I should have dealt with my carelessness with Lightroom, but where’s the fun in that, can anyone see where I was sitting?

Depending which source you read, the Campanone tower rises between 52 to 56 meters high, by no means an impossible mission to climb, and once at the top, the view is stunning! Here, on the side facing north-west, the view of San Vigilio hill which by itself is a splendid vantage point on the old city.

Depending on the design, smoke plume art can be relatively straight forward if you follow a certain order. Process plume in Raw, Clean out large dust specks, Mirror and merge the plume and then copy, paste and rotate. I had gotten into a mode of doing test designs where I would skip the first two steps to see the plume would look interesting enough.

This one I forgot it was a test and had to reverse engineer it to do the clean up. Huge pain in the butt, lesson learned.

Other than the usual I did change the Hues from blue to yellow and applied a couple curves adjustments. All the colors to saturate where reflected into the original picture with colored lights.

These lovely flowers bloom from August to October but occasionally they can continue flowering into November depending on the weather. The leaves of the plant are quite short but the flowers grow up to 30ins high and they enjoy being planted in part shade, if the rhizomes are disturbed they seem to grow new growth very quickly. Overall, a lovely splash of colour in late summer.

A variation of the burek, a popular pastry throughout southern Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East, Israeli bourekas are made in a wide variety of shapes and a vast selection of fillings, and are typically made with either puff pastry, filo dough, or brik pastry, depending on the origin of the baker.

- www.budapest.org/es/parlamento-budapest/

Uttakleiv Beach is perhaps Norway’s most photographed beach. Depending on the season, Uttakleiv attracts explorers seeking out the northern lights and the midnight sun.

The mixture of rocks and sand on the beach, the view towards the mountains over the Steinsfjord, and the open ocean makes Uttakleiv a popular destination for keen photographers.

With a large grassy area by the beach and some basic facilities, Uttakleiv is a popular spot to camp. Note that there is a fee, comparable to a standard campground.

Let's find love, peace and happiness by changing our points of view.

I never tire of the great art deco mascots of the 20s and 30s. This design evolved over the years, changing details and design elements, but it appears it was originally designed first by designer Joseph E. Corker patent granted to Packard Motor Car Co. 7/12/1927, patent #73,026, exhibited on a Rollston cabriolet at the New York City Automobile show January 1926, Packard deluxe emblem known as the Packard "Goddess of Speed.

Based on Nike, the divine charioteer of Greek mythology.

In Greek mythology, Nike was a goddess who personified victory, also known as the Winged Goddess of Victory. The Roman equivalent was Victoria. Depending upon the time of various myths, she was described as the daughter of Pallas (Titan) and Styx (Water) and the sister of Kratos (Strength), Bia (Force), and Zelus (Zeal). Nike and her siblings were close companions of Zeus, the dominant deity of the Greek pantheon. According to classical (later) myth, Styx brought them to Zeus when the god was assembling allies for the Titan War against the older deities. Nike assumed the role of the divine charioteer, a role in which she often is portrayed in Classical Greek art. Nike flew around battlefields rewarding the victors with glory and fame. Nike is seen with wings in most statues and paintings. Most other winged deities in the Greek pantheon had shed their wings by Classical times. Nike is the goddess of strength, speed, and victory. Nike was a very close acquaintance of Athena, and is thought to have stood in Athena's outstretched hand in the statue of Athena located in the Parthenon. Nike is one of the most commonly portrayed figures on Greek coins. The shoe and sports equipment company Nike, Inc. is named after the Greek goddess Nike.

Psalm 37:5

Gray langurs, sacred langurs, Indian langurs or Hanuman langurs are a group of Old World monkeys native to the Indian subcontinent constituting the entirety of the genus Semnopithecus.

These langurs are largely gray (some more yellowish), with a black face and ears. Externally, the various species mainly differ in the darkness of the hands and feet, the overall color and the presence or absence of a crest. Typically all north Indian gray langurs have their tail tips looping towards their head during a casual walk whereas all south Indian and Sri Lankan gray langurs have an inverted "U" shape or a "S" tail carriage pattern. There are also significant variations in the size depending on the sex, with the male always larger than the female. The head-and-body length is from 51 to 79 cm (20 to 31 in). Their tails, at 69 to 102 cm (27 to 40 in) are never longer than their bodies. Langurs from the southern part of their range are smaller than those from the north. At 26.5 kg (58 lb), the heaviest langur ever recorded was a male Nepal gray langur. The larger gray langurs are rivals for the largest species of monkey found in Asia. The average weight of gray langurs is 18 kg (40 lb) in the males and 11 kg (24 lb) in the females.

Langurs mostly walk quadrupedally and spend half their time on the ground and the other half in the trees. They will also make bipedal hops, climbing and descending supports with the body upright, and leaps. Langurs can leap 3.6–4.7 m (12–15 ft) horizontally and 10.7–12.2 m (35–40 ft) in descending.

The entire distribution of all gray langur species stretches from the Himalayas in the north to Sri Lanka in the south, and from Bangladesh in the east to Pakistan in the west. They possibly occur in Afghanistan. The bulk of the gray langur distribution is within India, and all seven currently recognized species have at least a part of their range in this country.

Gray langurs can adapt to a variety of habitats. They inhabit arid habitats like deserts, tropical habitats like tropical rainforests and temperate habitats like coniferous forests, deciduous habitats and mountains habitats. They are found at sea level to altitudes up to 4,000 m (13,000 ft). They can adapt well to human settlements, and are found in villages, towns and areas with housing or agriculture. They live in densely populated cities like Jodhpur, which has a population numbering up to a million.

Gray langurs are diurnal. They sleep during the night in trees but also on man-made structures like towers and electric poles when in human settlements. When resting in trees, they generally prefer the highest branches.

Ungulates like bovine and deer will eat food dropped by foraging langurs.Langurs are preyed upon by leopards, dholes and tigers.Wolves, jackals, Asian black bears and pythons may also prey on them

Gray langurs are primarily herbivores. However, unlike some other colobines they do not depend on leaves and leaf buds of herbs, but will also eat coniferous needles and cones, fruits and fruit buds, evergreen petioles, shoots and roots, seeds, grass, bamboo, fern rhizomes, mosses, and lichens. Leaves of trees and shrubs rank at the top of preferred food, followed by herbs and grasses. Non-plant material consumed include spider webs, termite mounds and insect larvae. They forage on agricultural crops and other human foods, and even accept handouts. Although they occasionally drink, langurs get most of their water from the moisture in their food.

In one-male groups, the resident male is usually the sole breeder of the females and sires all the young. In multiple-male groups, the highest-ranking male fathers most of the offspring, followed by the next-ranking males and even outside males will father young. Higher-ranking females are more reproductively successful than lower-ranking ones.

Female gray langurs do not make it obvious that they are in estrous. However, males are still somehow able to reduce the reproduction state of females.Females signal that they are ready to mate by shuddering the head, lowering the tail, and presenting their anogenital regions. Such solicitations do not always lead to copulation. When langurs mate, they are sometimes disrupted by other group members. Females have even been recorded mounting other females.

The gestation period of gray langur lasts around 200 days, at least at Jodhpur, India. In some areas, reproduction is year-around. Year-round reproduction appears to occur in populations that capitalize on human-made foods. Other populations have seasonal reproduction.

Infanticide is common among gray langurs. Most infanticidal langurs are males that have recently immigrated to a group and driven out the prior male. These males only kill infants that are not their own.Infanticide is more commonly reported in one-male groups, perhaps because one male monopolizing matings drives the evolution of this trait. In multiple-male groups, the costs for infanticidal males are likely to be high as the other males may protect the infants and they can't ensure that they'll sire young with other males around. Nevertheless, infanticide does occur in these groups, and is suggested that such practices serve to return a female to estrous and gain the opportunity to mate.

Females usually give birth to a single infant, although twins do occur. Most births occur during the night. Infants are born with thin, dark brown or black hair and pale skin. Infants spend their first week attach themselves to their mothers' chests and mostly just suckle or sleep. They do not move much in terms of locomotion for the first two weeks of their life. As they approach their sixth week of life, infants vocalize more. They use squeaks and shrieks to communicate stress. In the following months, the infants are capable of quadrupedal locomotion and can walk, run and jump by the second and third months. Alloparenting occurs among langurs, starting when the infants reach two years of age. The infant will be given to the other females of the group. However, if the mother dies, the infant usually follows.Langurs are weaned by 13 months.

Like any old mining town, Clifton depended on the railroad which runs through the middle of town.

Clifton, Arizona, USA. Once a booming copper mining town but now mostly declining or already in decay and the majority of people and business have moved just up the road to Morenci. The Freeport McMoRan copper mine located in Morenci is one of the largest in the world

Cliff dwellings along the San Francisco and Gila Rivers are evidence of an advanced civilization that existed long before Caesar ruled Rome. Many specimens of pottery and stone implements are still to be found in these ancient dwelling places. In the mid-1500s, both Fray Marcos de Niza and Francisco Vasquez de Coronado passed through the area, following the San Pedro north to the Gila River. Geronimo was born in 1829 near the confluence of Eagle Creek and the San Francisco and Gila Rivers.

In 1856 the first mineral discoveries of the Morenci/Clifton area were found by California volunteers pursuing Apaches, and conflicts between the Apaches and advancing Anglo settlers touched off a 26-year-long war. Mining for gold and silver began in 1864, followed by copper in 1872, and the mine at Morenci quickly grew to become the largest copper producer in North America. Clifton's population ballooned from 600 in 1880 to 5000 by 1910, and it quickly earned its reputation as the wildest of the "Wild West" boomtowns. Neighboring Morenci was swallowed up by an open pit mine in the 1960s, but Clifton was preserved, and today Chase Creek Street is still graced with lovely Victorian-era buildings from the town's halcyon days as the place to quickly make and lose a fortune.

In 1983, Clifton survived two nearly fatal blows, first a nearly three-year-long strike that began on June 30, 1983. Then later that same year, on October 2, 1983, Tropical Storm Octave sent 90,900 cubic feet of water per second into the San Francisco River, which burst its banks, destroying 700 homes and heavily damaging 86 of the town's 126 businesses

I’m not a poet (though I used to be one), so please excuse this random reference to William Carlos Williams’ The Red Wheelbarrow. I walked for miles along the streets of Amsterdam, crossed many a bridge whose iron railings were lined with tightly packed bikes, took many a photo of such, but only this one made the cut. Without the pink bicycle, this would be just another photo of a bridge over an Amsterdam canal. Who parked this pink bicycle there? Surely some tall, clog-wearing Holland blond, whose smile could blind, adorned it with petals she had plucked fresh that very morning.

The flowers turned out to be fake and the cobwebs between the wheel spokes spoke. So much much depends upend the pink...

Depends I suppose if you are coming or going ! This is just the entrance or exit to the down line at Waiton on Thames railway station - it is silly what one will point the camera at while wandering aimlessly killiing time while the car was being serviced .

The Atlantic puffin’s plumage depends on whether or not it is breeding. In fact, the appearance change is so dramatic that it was once believed it was two different species. This species is most recognizable while in breeding season, sporting its iconic black and white plumage with a black, yellow and orange bill. In winter, when breading season is over, the plumage and bill turns drab with a darker-colored face, especially around its eyes. In late winter and into spring, the bird becomes temporarily flightless as new feathers on its tail and wings replace the old feathers.

The Atlantic puffin is around 25 centimeters long. Males tend to be slightly larger than females. Its body shape and webbed feet have adapted to diving and swimming underwater.

I might kill everybody around me

Might heal everybody around me, how the wind blow

What remains of a national horticultural show? It depends on how much money the city has. Not much in Bad Oeynhausen. The fountains dried up after 20 years, only the water crater is preserved. The gardens are neglected and partly destroyed. Even with little, more could be done - if care were taken. The mirror was part of an installation with other mirrors between birch trees. It was a rather sad appearance.

The black bulbul is 24–25 cm in length, with a long tail. The body plumage ranges from slate grey to shimmering black, depending on the race. The beak, legs, and feet are all orange and the head has a black fluffy crest. Sexes are similar in plumage, but young birds lack the crest, have whitish underparts with a grey breast band, and have a brown tint to the upperparts. They have a black streak behind the eye and on the ear coverts.

The Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center is a convention center located in Long Beach, California. Built on the former site of the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium; the venue is composed of the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach Arena and the Long Beach Performing Arts Center.

Long Beach Arena was the first building to be completed in the complex. Capacities are as follows: 11,200 for hockey, 13,609 for basketball and either 4,550, 9,200 or 13,500 for concerts, depending on the seating arrangement.

The arena has hosted various entertainment and professional and college sporting events, most notably the volleyball events of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.

For trade shows, the arena features 46,000 square feet (4300 m2) of space, with an additional 19,000 square feet (1800 m2) of space in the lobby and 29,000 square feet (2700 m2) in the concourse. Hanging from the arena's 77 foot (23 m) high ceiling is a center-hung scoreboard with four White Way "Mega Color" Animation Screens. There is an 11 by 15 foot SACO Smartvision LED Wall located on the south end of the arena.

The arena was the site of the first NHL game involving a 1967 expansion team, as the Los Angeles Kings and the Philadelphia Flyers, both expansion teams, played on October 14, 1967, the Kings won 4–2. The Kings played in Long Beach for the first half of their expansion season while The Forum was being completed.

In the 1970s, the arena hosted several games of the Los Angeles Sharks, of the WHA and regular appearances of the Los Angeles Thunderbirds roller derby team. The Grateful Dead played the arena on December 15th, 1972; the first of 13 concerts there through 1988.

In 1980–81 the arena was also home to the California Surf of the North American Soccer League for one season of indoor soccer.

The arena was home to the former Long Beach Ice Dogs team, which played professional ice hockey in the IHL, WCHL and ECHL. The Ice Dogs ceased operations of the team in 2007.

The Eagles performed during a benefit concert for California Senator Alan Cranston on July 31, 1980, on what has been described as "Long Night at Wrong Beach".Tempers boiled over as Glenn Frey and Don Felder spent the entire show telling each other about the beating each planned to administer backstage. "Only three more songs until I kick your ass, pal," Frey recalls Felder telling him near the end of the band's set.Felder recalls Frey making a similar threat to him during "Best of My Love"."We're out there singing ‘Best of My Love', but inside both of us are thinking, 'As soon as this is over, I'm gonna kill him,' " recalled Frey. The animosity purportedly developed as a result of Felder's response of "You're welcome – I guess" to Senator Cranston as he was thanking the band for doing the benefit for his reelection. A live recording of their song "Life in the Fast Lane" from this show was included on their live album, entitled Eagles Live. This marked their final live performance, as The Eagles, for 14 years, until April 25, 1994.

Iron Maiden performed four consecutive shows during their World Slavery Tour on March 14–17, 1985. The show on the 15th was recorded and released as a double live-album, entitled Live After Death.

The arena was also one of the sites of the 1986 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship Rounds of 64 and 32. The teams, which played at the arena, included Maryland, Pepperdine & UNLV. Maryland's Len Bias played his final collegiate game at the arena on March 14, 1986, in a loss to UNLV in the Round of 32. The arena was also the site of the Big West Conference men's basketball tournament from 1989 to 1993. It was the home court for Long Beach State's men's basketball team for several seasons in the 1970s and 1980s.

Run–D.M.C. performed during their Raising Hell Tour on August 17, 1986, with Whodini, LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys and The Timex Social Club as their opening act. The show made news worldwide when gang fights broke out between the Long Beach-based Insane Crips and the Los Angeles based Rollin 60's Crips within the audience, with 42 reported injuries during the incident.

From 2009 to 2016, the FIRST Robotics Competition Los Angeles Regional was held at the Long Beach Arena.

On July 1 and 2, 2017, the arena hosted New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Special in USA shows, which marked the company's first independently promoted shows in the United States.

The arena will host handball during the 2028 Summer Olympics.
