5:52 Photograph an event.
Not what I had planned for this weeks challenge ... but I figure departing on a boat to cross Bass Strait counts as an event. We put our car on this ferry a couple of years ago and did a touring holiday of Tassie - it was a wonderful event for us anyway.

After meeting an eastbound Burlington Northern coal load at Sully Springs, North Dakota, a westbound departs the siding on the afternoon of August 9, 1991. The empties are powered by three fresh SD60Ms and a SD40-2. Cascade green looked awesome in the Badlands.

With an USA crew on board, four "Bigs" start out of Megantic, Quebec, next to the Megantic Manufacturing. This was the only time I had ever shot this location and it took some help from GSP to jar my memory to the right spot!
An eastbound Erie Lackawanna freight with SD45-2 3672 leading a U33C, here rolling through the east side of Marion, Ohio departing the yard here passing a Penn Central GP9 the morning of February 28, 1976.
A tiny sliver of sunlight catches the front of 3323 as it leads SIRI south through CP-Du Bois. This location is the southernmost of the remaining CTC islands on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh. Although paperwork has been filed to discontinue signals on this line, the CPLs remain lit for now.
While waiting for the sun to rise on the banks of a perfectly calm Patoka Lake, something devoured something else. If I had to guess, I would go with a larger fish took a much smaller one who was swimming near the surface. It was the distinctive gulp sound that caught my ear and directed my eyes to this lone bubble with the smallest of ripples departing its base.
As I viewed and photographed the bubble, shown here, I remember thinking “Why in the hell did you just photograph a bubble?” It was while editing that it hit me that it is the last remnant of a life…and like that life, it will only be here for a short while.
Adventure before our lone bubble.
After assembling their interchange pickup, MMID UBHF returns for Highfield, MD. The train is seen here at Blue Ridge Summit, in the brief section of the MMID that passes through the state of Pennsylvania.
Moments before sunset on October 7, 2020, Montana Rail Link’s Helena local departs Townsend, Montana, after meeting an eastbound BNSF train there, and storms over the Missouri River bound for a twilight crossing of Winston Hill.
About 90 minutes of pedaling south later. I have passed the small 'mountain' that was visible from the previous panorama. And now looking north back at it.

After three full days of Central Florida downpours, we were finally able to take the rain gear off start the drying off process. It was the same for the eagles and ospreys as they seemed to be bogged down by the heavy rain.
We fished under this fellow for a few hours, the entire time he just kept his head down and pointed into the wind as the bands of rain came through.
It's not just the tourists who are happy when the rains end!
As soon as L620 cleared Apex, L614 opened up onto the main and left town. They would run as light power from here to Moncure where they began their work.
