Having its first flight in April of 1966, this DC-8-52 flew for United its entire career. It was moved to the California Museum of Science and Industry in June of 1984 after its retirement. It was placed atop its pedestal in front of the renamed California Science Center in 2002 where it "flies" to this day.
A two shot panorama.

Blue Beetle: The main reason I'm posting this. Thought my BB needed a major update so I painted on his symbol over the electro torso. Really proud of how it came out.
Green Arrow: Gave him a new face: Nothing wrong with Zach's (check out his kickstarter), just wanted something a bit different. Also gave him Green Lantern's legs.
Captain Atom: New torso. I may have posted him before, can't remember. Either way, here he is.
ALSO I HAVE AN INSTAGRAM. GO FOLLOW THE FUCK OUT OF IT. instagram.com/kaiju_dan/
Couple new parts for some revamped DC figures!
Frankenstein: new head from BL and torso from a book
Doctor Tyme: new head from the old CMF and torso from new Spidey sets
Mister Bloom: new head from the orchid set
Jimmy Olsen: new hair from City sets
Psycho-Pirate: new helmet from TLBM Harley Quinn
The remains of the US Navy DC-3 that had to make an emergency landing on the Sólheima sand beach on November 24th, 1973.
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve been kinda busy.
For those who might not know who this is it’s deathstroke.
I’m gonna try to post twice before I leave to go to Teenpact National Convention in Tennessee on Monday.
Thanks to everyone for all the support.
New Friends hair! Love these new hairs, I can't wait to get the rest from PAB.
Left to right:
Poison Ivy (Paisley hair, the name does not feel like a coincidence)
Vixen (Aliya hair)
Javelin (Nova hair, shoutout to 10eyedmancustoms for the idea)
Don't have much to say about this, other than I'm in love with the poses I have these guys in.
Oh and to show y'all these figs.
L-R:
Bane: 2012 head, Star Wars torso, city legs.
Cheeta: Agent 13 hair, City head, cavewoman torso.
Riddler: TLBM hat and cane, Shaggy head, Lloyd torso, Aquanauts hook hand.
Washington, DC, Northwest.
Here is evidence of Washington DC's commitment to preserving its architectural heritage. One of the tools they use is to preserve the facades of old buildings in all areas of the city while allowing reconstruction of the interiors.
I took my son down to a sleep-away camp in Washington, DC. I spent 5 hours on the bus down, 5 hours walking around in the blistering heat, and then 5 hours on the bus back to NY. It was a long day.
Walking into the train/bus station, I passed this fellow, and I knew that with his cool look and this fabulous backdrop, I had to get a portrait. His name is Daryl, who was at the station to take the bus back home to Baltimore. He was very kind and cooperative. I took a whole bunch of shots, because the light was actually kind of challenging to work with. This one was rather underexposed SOOC, but I was able to fix it up in LR quite nicely.
By the way, I finally transitioned to LR4 (not 5!)...I'm always way behind the times when it comes to software...but I prefer it that way, as there are usually fewer bugs to deal with.

Random bunch of figures here.
Slipknot - I'm sure people have used a similar design to this, but this did come from my own head.
Bizarro - Really happy with him. Idea of using the Zan figure came from Superior Idiot, head is bootleg.
The Ray - Pretty much his usual design, but I'm pleased with it. The helmet is a bootleg Nova one.
Effigy - Obscure Green Lantern villain. His design is pretty basic so I just used a random Iron Man suit.
All of these figs were suggested to me by TheArtOfLego.
From L to R:
Psycho Pirate: I unfortunately was unable to find the correct legs for him with the red leg on the right. I’m also not overly happy with the helmet but I didn’t really have any other options.
Cheshire: I was trying to decide between this torso for her and Tauriel’s torso from the Hobbit. I decided this one because I felt the other one was too brown.
Anarky: Probably my favorite from this lineup. I was gonna use the legs from the Master of Dragons from Ninjago but I found these and just couldn’t bring myself not to use them.
Arkham Knight: Definitely the hardest out of these. I ended up going for an all black look. Let me know if you think it works. Because I might try remaking him.
Gotta do an in-between post today - and today it's some random magic users. Enjoy.
Left to right:
Shazam (The Wizard), Klarion the Witch Boy, Brother Blood, Doctor Occult, and Circe
Left to Right
Enchantress: Sort of based on her injustice 2 appearance.
Lloyd TLBM Hood, Hela Head, Tauriel torso and legs
CW Ronnie Raymond Firestorm: This Head is near perfect for Robbie Amell. The reverse print is also excellent for Firestorm
Credence Head, Rocket torso, Deathstar Trooper legs
Tempest: I sure do hope LEGO makes an official figure one day. I wish there were better arms with tattoos and a head that had this design but more stubble like instead of a full on beard. I do think this works though. I did consider Coles hair from TLNM CMF.
Klaue Head, Quicksilver torso, Thor arm, Superman legs
Ocean Master: another fail on LEGO’s part for not making a figure to go along with the Aquaman film.
Atlantean helmet, Hawkeye Head, Nightwing torso, Red Hood CMF cape, Brickforge vambraces, Geonosian hip, Mr E legs
Tell Me Your Thoughts
so it appears my 1 year on Flickr is coming in about 21 days, and i have around 17 more followers to go until i hit 300, so i'm hoping to reach that point by then, if i can i'd love to do some facts about myself and maybe a contest?
also does anyone know the color or where i can buy some original Jango Fett legs and arms? i have everything but those and i'd like to complete him
L to R:
Captain lance: tonight this hair would look good and i found this face which i think mirrors the look of the character well, don't care to much for the torso though.
Anarky: i really liked Killer Moths Anarky that he posted today so i scrapped my own and made this guy using that MM supergirl cape.
Alan Scott: added these boots from el Dorado and the cape piece from the Wonder Twins, probably my ultimate Alan Scott figure.
I took this photo so long ago that my Ravager and Huntress have been significantly updated since - one for the better, and one for the worse. Ravager's sporting the 2012 Thor torso since Mr. Mxyzptlk has my second Hobgoblin torso, and Huntress was just using up way too many parts from other figs in my collection - though I have tracked down a new torso on BL that might work even better than this current combo.
Credit to Sachin Chata for this amazing Ravager torso idea! This isn't the first time he inspired me to create a figure I hadn't even thought of before, so go check him out. Credit to HMDBrickCustoms for being the first to post this particular Huntress combo on Flickr! Give him a follow to see a very prolific photostream full of DC and Marvel purist characters.
Fig formulas:
Ravager: SW Rebels Sabine head, Storm hair, Hobgoblin torso, Deathstroke legs
Deathstroke (unmasked): Count Dooku hair and head, Ninjago armor, Deathstroke base figure
Batman: N52 Batman legs, Beware the Bat base figure
Huntress: S10 Warrior Woman CMF hair, 1966 Catwoman head, 2012 Catwoman torso, Nindroid Warrior hips, Beast Boy legs
L-R: scarecrow( based off the games tho I rlly need that hidden side head that art of LEGO used on his bizzaro and many other figs), atomic skull( that ninjago head making a comeback), creeper( DCeased version and credit to that LEGO guy for helping me out on the design)
So brickfair was fun, I enjoyed some parts this year over last year and last year over this year. Anyways, be prepared for a lot of new and updated figures
Left to Right
Wild Dog: too bad this torso is green but it still gets the job done with the face on the shirt
Manchester Black: Finally got ahold of a few of these torsos. Thrawn hair, Bruce Wayne head, Lester torso, StarWars legs
Dr. Destiny: Task Master Head, MM Thanos torso
Zatanna: I realized how perfect Flitwicks parts are for her. Vicky hair, Supergirl head, Flitwick (tie, torso, and coat tails), CMF 12 Spooky Girl legs

From L to R
Batgirl: I took away the belt and gave her a Willie Scott head with a sticky label over the eyes to give it the the look that Batman and Robin have.
Mirror Master: It's been a while since I posted my last Mirror Master and I think that this is probably the best I can get it.
Aquaman: I ordered the trident and hook off Firestar Toys and I think they work well.
Deadshot: Got the head and found an old exoforce torso which works well for him.
What do you think?
DC Figures #44
From L to R
Sewer King: I got new hair and torso.
Gillian Loeb: The CMF Barbera Gordon torso and arms look good for him.
Atom: I tried to use the classic colours in a more modern and practical suit.
Scarecrow: I got the Season 13 CMF scarecrow figure and thought the hat worked well for him.
What do you think?
