Dawn was a fiery affair just now - the winter storm is pushing into the region today!

Erith Riverside.

Dawn over this fine Derbyshire Hunting Estate.

Up at dawn, the dewy freshness of the hour, the morning rapture of the birds, the daily miracle of sunrise, set her heart in tune, and gave her Nature's most healing balm.

Dawning the Dessert

Back to death valley. Hopefully we make it over the Yosemite pass with this winter storm warning... maybe we'll see some pretty snow on the way.

September Sunrise, Rocky Mountain Front Range, Colorado

Let us go in;

the fog is rising.

--Emily Dickinson

A silhouette of the fleet docked in the Lakes Entrance harbour area just before sunrise.

A kingdom has fallen,

The battle seems lost,

All faith has been robbed

Over a doomed

Horizon.

Oh! Where is Hope,

Where is the Calm,

Where is that Peace so free

We could not keep from

Fleeing into the

Horizon?

But where there is defeat,

There is a Victory.

Where there is despair and doubt,

There is a Hope, an Assurance.

It towers, it emanates there,

Far away, where the Dawn is made,

Where only He can see,

The Horizon.

Spring Dawn is a macro photograph of a ranunculus flower.

I like the way the snow looks on the roundish supportive ridges above. How velvety and how inviting! Mt Korenge (2766m in elevation). Yes, an avalanche graveyard, so far entombing not a few adventurous/daredevil skiers. Yet to some, probably looks all the more fulfilling/becomes engrossing for it.

The US Supreme Court building at sunrise. Stunning sight!

Day 30 #covid19 #lockdown

On #WorldEarthDay this image of dawn near Whinhill In Greenock seemed so appropriate at this time. With everyone on lockdown nature is getting a chance to recover. Take care everybody.
