WIPO Director General Daren Tang (right) received on July 18, 2022, Peru's instrument of ratification of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications and the instruments of accession to WIPO's classification treaties: Locarno Agreement, Nice Agreement, Strasbourg Agreement and Vienna Agreement from Julián Palacín, President of National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI).
The Geneva Act provides producers of quality products linked to origin, with faster and cheaper access to the international protection of their products' distinctive designations. It further develops the legal framework of the Lisbon System, which helps promote many globally marketed products such as pisco, cocoa, coffee and even ceramics.
As a member of the classification treaties, Peru will also join international efforts to improve the classifications of goods and services for the registration of industrial designs (Locarno Agreement), trademarks (Nice Agreement), patents (Strasbourg Agreement) and figurative elements of marks (Vienna Agreement) – helping inventors, brand owners and designers in their efforts to obtain protection for their work.

San Onofre State Beach - Campsite #43

Here was my home for 4 nights/5 days. I had a blast staying there. There wound up being groups staying next to me most of the time. I met some very cool people and liked the freedom I had. Scott set me up with every, single thing you see here...except my cooler and food. He should start the Stryder Outfitting Co. (hehehe)
This is a unique location really. It's set on part of the Old PCH, that runs along the coast. It dead ends into the Camp Pendleton Marine Base (which you can get on and go on the bike trail that takes you all the way to Oceanside). The capture was taken on a bluff above my campsite. Most locations had the bluffs as a buffer between where people camped with a vista looking out to the ocean or they directly had an ocean view (no bluff).
Some other points of interest:
*HWY 5 is just on the other side of the barrier you see there.
*Railroad tracks are as well, with trains running day and night
*Tanks were going all night long playing "war games" and firing off bombs
*Apache helicopters flew over non-stop
*Cyclists ride through on a constant basis during the day
*Close to food, stores, places to eat, San Mateo camp grounds for showers
This was a great place for me to stay, since I was alone. I never felt alone and was comfortable there...felt safe. I loved being able to wake up and walk up to where I was standing each morning and look out over the water. Ocean view within 10 seconds. I was up there quite often.
I loved my time there and would love to go back with more people. I'm trying to talk my kids into it.
Time to buy a tent!

New Years Eve day was Darens Birthday so I met up with him and JT at San Onofre (a little bit later than I had planned) to hang out and enjoy the last day of the year.
No birthday would be complete without party hats either so the boys decided to keep them on so their heads would stick into the sand better if they failed while jumping off the sand ledge.
I think this move is called a ninja twist with tongue Ha....

I daren't imagine how many different castings Hot Wheels have brought out in their first 50 years of existence, surely it must be in the tens of thousands and is perhaps the most diverse and quick moving range of 1/64 diecast models ever to be devised! With such rapid change in their line up its extremely warming to discover that some of their original late 1960's castings still exist and are still in use. Their 1955 Chevrolet Nomad first appeared in 1970 yet reappears in 2018 looking as fresh and relevant as ever with its second retool making it look more like the original, its first retool was way back in 1991! I can totally forgive its orange glazing and full on flame livery as it is in keeping with what HW was all about back in their early days.
