The Potala Palace, former home to the Dalai Lama's of Tibet and now a Chinese Government-run museum. All photos of the Dalai lama are prohibited in all of Tibet, but here you can see his bed, his praying room, his slippers and his prayer wheel.
Strange and very symptomatic of China's double-edged feeling towars Tibet. Please spend your tourist money but don't get interested or involved.

Du 4 au 7 août 2012, le 14ème Dalai Lama est venu au Ladakh pour délivrer ses enseignements qui furent selon le site officiel de ce dernier: Tsongkhapa's The Three Principal Paths (lamtso namsum) and Atisha's Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (jangchup lamdron), an Avalokiteshvera Initiation (thukje chenpo jigten wangchuk wang).
Le Dalai Lama vient très régulièrement dans cette région très proche de sa résidence principale à Dharamsala. Contrairement à ses voyages à l'étranger, ici tout est gratuit, y compris la nourriture et la boisson, distribuée par des femmes en tenue traditionnelle. Pas de chaises mais une grande plaine où chacun est libre de s'asseoir par terre, souvent sur un tapis de sol. On vient ici en famille et on écoute plus ou moins attentivement la traduction en ladakhi des propos du Dalai Lama.
Malheureusement floue, je tenais cependant à vous faire partager cette photo!

Dalai Lama came by our building to have a talk. Ufortunately we couldn't listen in because of security.. and our office is also on the second floor.. But hey! Cool to see him anyway :-)

I am delighted: Obama says he's going to meet the Dalai Lama due to the fact the Chinese Government, the government I personally am not fond of at all, is strongly angainst the meeting: they are threatening the free world.

I think this drawing is only understandable for people with a knowledge of this story in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible: meaning a small person - David - can offer resistance to a giant with a sword - Goliath - by using a simple sling with a stone. In this case: a heart. So: non- violent resistance. Bami Lama is a play with words. Humorist. Bami is a very well known Chinese food in Western Europe.
