Alias: Cyclone
Real Name: Shelby Grace
Powers: Weather manipulation, air manipulation, water manipulation, flight
Earth: 304
Origin: Shelby is a metahuman with the ability to control the weather. She believed this ability to be a curse, and thought she was dangerous, so she tried to suppress her abilities. She lost control of these powers, and was unintentionally creating a storm so powerful that it could’ve wiped out the entire city. She was stopped by a hero named Perseus, who has similar abilities. He helps her learn to control her powers and in return, she stays with him and his friends to help them fight crime.
The Cyclone is a historic wooden roller coaster that opened on June 26, 1927, in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, New York City. Since 2011, Luna Park has been maintaining and running the Cyclone. It was declared a New York City landmark on July 12, 1988, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 26, 1991. A ride on this classic roller coaster currently costs $9.

Two days after coming ashore over Queensland, Australia, the former Tropical Cyclone Yasi was still a formidable storm. On February 4, 2011, when the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite took this image, the storm still had the spiral shape characteristic of large tropical cyclones, even though it had been moving inland over mountains and desert.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology warned residents of Northern Territory that storm would bring strong winds gusting up to 95 kilometers per hour and heavy rains that may lead to flash floods. Ex-cyclone Yasi was moving southwest at 18 kilometers per hour.

One of 300 built by Mercury.
At Edelbrock Show.
Mercury's entry into the aero-car sweepstakes was a streamlined-version of its fastback Cyclone intermediate. The Cyclone Spoiler II was identical in concept to the 1969 Ford Torino Talladega: both cars employed a stretched, tapered nose and a flush-mounted grille for ideal aerodynamics at superspeedway velocities.
On the track, the NASCAR Cyclone Spoiler race cars were actually a couple mph faster than their Talladega cousins due to their slightly longer bodies and subtle aerodynamic differences. On the street, the showroom versions were slower; the Mercurys had to make do with a 290-bhp 351-cid V-8 hooked to an FMX three-speed automatic transmission, while Talladegas got a 428 Cobra Jet/C6 three-speed automatic combo.

I absolutely loved this. No con-incidence I bought a huge 99 ice cream shortly afterwards.

Tropical Cyclone Bingiza made landfall on Madagascar on February 14, 2011. The U.S. Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) reported that, as of about noon Madagascar time on February 14, Bingiza had maximum sustained winds of 85 knots (155 kilometers per hour) and gusts up to 105 knots (195 kilometers per hour). The storm was located roughly 250 nautical miles (465 kilometers) northeast of Antananarivo.
The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this natural-color image at 10:00 a.m. local time on February 13, 2011. Bingiza’s eye approaches northern Madagascar, and a spiral arm grazes Antananarivo.
Although Bingiza would weaken somewhat over land, the storm was expected to re-strengthen after passing over northern Madagascar, thanks to high sea surface temperatures. The JTWC forecast that, on the western side of Madagascar, the storm would travel southward, roughly tracing the island’s west coast.
