Emily and I went to the 1st Annual Cyclone Fan Day.

A cyclone passed the Konkan region in the Arabian Sea. Although I hear Mumbai didn't receive much damage, we in Pune did. Trees snapped, threads from local politicians' flex posters were strewn about, roads flooded. This tree snapped next to my aunt's place. Within three days of cutting it up, all carryable pieces had been scavenged.

Near miss! This uprooted tree fell just short of a house on Mead Road in the Suva suburb of Tamavua.

Cyclone Canyon is part of the grabens formation in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The trail is actually an old jeep road that was closed to 4x4s in the 1990's; it is now exclusively a foot trail.
