I wonder why cyberspace always seems to be depicted with colors of black, blue and green? Who came up with the idea that these are the colors that represent a futuristic technological world..

William Gibson (born 1948) is an American-Canadian speculative fiction writer and essayist widely credited with pioneering the science fiction subgenre known as cyberpunk. Beginning his writing career in the late 1970s, his early works were noir, near-future stories that explored the effects of technology, cybernetics, and computer networks on humans, a "combination of lowlife and high tech"—and helped to create an iconography for the Information Age before the ubiquity of the Internet in the 1990s. Gibson coined the term "cyberspace" for "widespread, interconnected digital technology" in his short story "Burning Chrome" (1982), and later popularized the concept in his acclaimed debut novel Neuromancer (1984). These early works of Gibson's have been credited with "renovating" science fiction literature in the 1980s en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Gibson

The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (POLCYB), was incorporated as a not-for-profit society in June 1999. Based in British Columbia, Canada, our goal is to enhance international partnerships among public and private professionals to prevent and combat crimes in cyberspace.
Our international network includes practitioners from all organizational levels in the public and private sectors. Our partners range from professionals who work in the areas of law enforcement, criminal justice, corporate security, and academic institutions. We strive to facilitate information-sharing between and among executives, administrators, and front-line professionals through seeking expert advice among our global and diverse membership.
We also provide public education on information protection and internet safety to raise public awareness of cybercrime, including those committed against children and youth. To promote our objective, we regularly host Quarterly Meetings, Annual International Conferences, and public education forums.
We invite you to look around our website and let us know how we can work closer with you in our quest to promote safety within cyberspace.

Dr. Everett Carl Dolman writes that, "Pilots now spend long hours in flight simulators, ultimately requiring less expensive basic flight training and reducing equipment loss. Military pilots can virtually practice emergency landings, dangerous flight paths, and new engagement tactics. Special Operations Forces can virtually fly and walk-through the terrain anticipated in an upcoming mission, preparing them for contingencies and enabling unsurpassed preparation and familiarity before embarking. The Air Force simulates conditions in nuclear missile silos, practicing launch events, as does the Navy in its marine simulators, recreating a ship’s bridge for training and evaluation. The ultimate test is in the real world, of course, but the probability of success or desirable result is greatly increased the better the quality of virtual space immersion."
Dr. Everett Carl Dolman believes that, "Some day, entire battles may be fought in cyberspace. Already we see Predator unmanned aerial vehicles supporting troops around the world from control centers in the deserts of Nevada. It will not be long before the first virtual dogfight takes place on computer screens located in rival states. The possibilities can only be guessed at, but one thing is sure. In the very near future, the military that can command cyberspace will have an extraordinary advantage on the real-world battlespace. Soon, war may no longer be focused on defeating the enemy’s plan, but on defeating its simulation."
This is the shoot that resulted in the RB67 having a close conversation with the floor. Don't worry folks. Not only is it covered by insurance, but the manager immediately offered to pay to get it fixed.
Everybody, meet Getter! a punk band out of the lovely city of San Jose.
Half of why I agreed to shoot Getter is that I haven't done any sort of band photography in ages and that bugs me. I *like* shooting bands. I love the crazy colored lights you get out of it. So most of my task was trying to preseve, as much as possible, the lighting that was already there... the feel of a live show. And very little to no flash. I did a little messing around with bouncing the flash off the ceiling, but I mostly just left it off.
Pretty much I had to do it the most expedient way... 800 and 1600 speed film, Wide open aperature (you'll notice that I instinctively shoot people wide open), 1/30th on the 50mm lens, 1/60th on the 135mm lens, the camera on the tripod (which was being used as a monopod).
This is James and Marshall. Gotta love the feel of action. :)
