The Negative void was thought to be only a gate to cyberspace, however, a new being has emerged through the portal . Whether this new entity will be a threat or not will be found out soon... very soon.

"Wondering why noone seems to have real names? Names are a curse here, if they know your true name, they have more power over you than any other form of controll can. Your name given to you by your parents is much more than identification, it is a name to be controlled by, and for that reason, we do not use our true names."

This is the main reason why all of my creations have generic names. In this time, they have found out that their names actually are the main way to be controlled by someone else.

It's a recast kit, even though of very good quality.

It is a version of "Ghost in the shell"'s Motoko Kusanagi in a cyberspace battle suit, sculpted/designed by the character's appearance in Masamune Shirow's manga "The Ghost in the Shell 2 - Manmachine interface".

The figure's color is actually not black - this would have been too dull (even though in the manga, the suit IS black). So I painted it with a black base, and added many "lighter" areas with a Mercedes Benz car color called "Black Blue" (Schwarzblau). In normal light the differences are hard to tell, but with some direct sunlight the blue-ish hue becomes recognizable. This trick not only adds more depth and contrast to the figure's outlines, it makes her also look more interesting and makes a good complement to the small color highlights. Additional reflex was created through a semi-matte finish.

The figure comes with a clear/translucent "mask" - I wanted to have the option to put this gadget on and off, so I had do devise a kind of "glasses holders" that fit between the figure's head and hair pieces. Tricky, but worked.

Another difficult task was to tint this mask in dark grey, but keeping it glossy and translucent. The solution finally came with a good coat of a Tamiya paint called "Smoke", which was perfect.

More translucent paint was applied to the yellow contrast panels of the suit - instead of a simple, opaque coat of paint I experimented with a yellow base, with an orange candy coat added on top, creating a subtle depth.

Face and hair were painted with enamels, by brush. No shading was done, due to the figure's relatively large scale.

The last time I saw this many laptops in once place was when that truckload of laptops tipped over on the M11.

Scholars gather around the BL's super-dense book core and flip open their laptops, rotating, figuratively, 180 degrees to face out into cyberspace. If you were to visualise the interwoven information paths, gazes and flows in this photo alone - let alone in the whole spontaneously assembled CPU-hive - you'd have a pretty mindblowing picture...

I spent quite a while editing today's 365 SP, but this is what happened when I tried to save it. How was I supposed to know that "Larry the Cable Guy" that was up on the pole, was gonna disconnect my internet to check out the TV signal!!

Poor guy - I went running out in the rain to talk to him while he was up on the pole - "Hey!!! Now my internet is out!"

The internet is back; The TV is still out. Wednesday night is a big TV night - Damn, I'm addicted!!

I was really happy with the way it turned out - so - here it is, LOL!!
