You can compare this to a color shot taken earlier. I can't bring myself to convert a color picture to B&W, but I can shoot B&W film

This was me trying to hide as much as possible in the shadows. It's odd to say it, but it's because of an interview with the guy who did a lot of the wardrobe work for Star Trek (William Ware Theiss) explaining that if you want to make something sexy, it's directly related to how likely it is that after the shot is taken that the subject might "oops" and reveal more. Hiding in the shadows is just as effective as covering it with the sheet.

It ended up that she liked some of the crazy lighting that I'd done earlier in the shoot that she wanted some of what is technically known as "implied nudes" done with my lighting setup.

Strobist details: Two lights. One Vivitar 285HV with to the left, one Sunpak 622 to the right with bare heads. The 285HV was cable triggered, the 622 was optically triggered.

The reason for calling the images on this Flikr set snapshots is simple: they try to capture the essence of a live network. It is constantly growing and shifting -and new information keeps completing the imperfect image all the time.

The left side of this image represents how the graph looked like yesterday. On the new network diagram to the right, you can see that the International presence has been placed in a square and moved to the opposite side. This positioning is irrelevant in a way, because the best manner of visualizing the network would be in 3D.

The Green dots all represent buses from the #CaravanaMX. The blue dots are coordination nodes for the Movement and the ones on the outskirts of the graph represent hash-tags. Light blue nodes are Twitter accounts and some follow the green buses because they were ridding on them.

Red dots are also hash-tags, but I would say of a much more public nature. The red dot at the right side of the new graph, for example, represents #CaravanaVirtualMX which was another way people followed the trip.

So, I'm still sorting through the Peru stuff. Between getting sick with a nasty cold, all of the other stuff I've been going through, it's just been awful hard to sort through everything.

This is Machu Picchu again, in the Condor Temple. For some reason, I really really like this part. Maybe it's because you can tell that there's the wings of the condor here. Maybe another reason, dono.

This is also one of the few wide-angle shots I've taken that I'm entirely pleased with. I was surprised, after so long of being annoyed at having the widest lens on the TX be a 50mm lens, that I'd find a 28mm lens so marginally useful. Very weird.

I don't have a polarizer that fits a 28mm lens, so this was just oh-so-carefully exposed. Thankfully, the angle of the light was amenable to this shot.
