Extremely cool customised public transport vehicles, re-ceated from US army jeeps left behind in the Philippines after World War II, mostly all privately owned by the driver. Each driver chooses a set route to drive, one that might deliver many passengers, and stops anywhere for pick-ups or delivery. They brighten up their rides and give the cars names to attract potential customers and because they are proud of their Jeepney.

Léontine loves the big note book that Audrey brought back from Amalfi for her ...

"I'll write the final draft of my next novel in this ... I feel so inspired ... bye now - call me for dinner please ..."

--- --- ---

I brought home quite a few dolly sized things from our holiday in Italy, including this mini book from the Museo della Carta in Amalfi.

It came as a complete surprise that Amalfi had a history of paper-making dating from the 12th C - the mills were powered by the water that still rushes (now under the road!) down the steep little valley that Amalfi sits in. Trudge up that road (and I mean UP) to the Musea della Carta & see the canal system and the paper making machines still working - powered by water and ... Fabulous

Bought this little book in the museum's shop.

I like customising bags. This is something not many people know about me. This bag was originally a Finnish Gas mask bag, from the 1950s/60s, which I got from one of the local army surplus stores. I started adorning it with vintage buttons, from a massive collection which date back to well before things went decimal.
