Pulling some pictures from the archives. I have been so consumed with unpacking (all my stuff came out of storage) that I have not gotten out even once this summer to take pictures. Or even for a hike! So, I feel compelled to go through the archives and find things that I should have posted back at that time, but did not.
This was a complete stroke of luck. I was driving with my boyfriend down a busy road, and spotted this out of the corner of my eye. (How could you miss it?) It was parked in the lot of a car dealership. I absolutely HAD to get a closer look. So, I turned around and pulled into the dealership. Turns out, the car was not for sale. It belonged to someone who was inside. I found this out as I was taking pictures of the car, and the owner of it walked out. Haha! He was very nice about me taking the pictures. I'm sure he gets this all the time. It's a Nissan, and he had it "dipped" in this stunning color-changing paint. Isn't it beautiful?

I commissioned Sensei 23 to paint shoes with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. This was a gift for my teenage niece. He signed the shoebox they came in. I decided to customize the shoebox as my form of wrapping. Black gesso was used as the base coat. I created a stencil from his logo and spray painted the box and the logo. Two coats of clear coat protect the box. It was finished with coated copper wire was used as the ribbon. My niece wondered if the box was going to explode.

Beneath the stark light of an unsuspecting resident's garage, a pitched battle is about to begin between Major Chip Hazard of the Commando Elite, and Archer of the Gorgonites. Viewers who consider themselves spoof film enthusiasts may recognize the choice of title for this composition...

This custom paint job is so rad! Check out the ghost flames that were built into a subtle red metal flake paint. It is so subtle you don't really see it until you get up close.
