1968 Camaro SS - Miami
Last Monday we photographed a 1968 Camaro SS in Miami. The client is a mainstream auto paint manufacturer that is putting together a calendar. I was both honored and excited that they chose to work with us so we went all out on a multiple location photoshoot. We look forward to seeing the the final calendar.
This car was a 1968 Camaro SS with several mods. The paint job on this car was simply flawless. It featured a three tone paint scheme in black and orange with a silver stripe. The orange paint had a slight flake and sparkle to it. We used off camera lighting to really make the flake in the orange pop.
Camera Data for this shot:
Camera: Nikon D3
Lens: Nikon 24-70mm
F Stop: f/9
Exposure: 1/800 second
ISO: 200

A bit of abstract of what (I believe) is 1946 Ford V8 Sedan While the car was truly striking, I suspect this paint job wasn't an option when it rolled off the assembly line...

Yes, I have one, as well.
Of course I did the cylinder mod! It's so awesome.
I wanted to keep the "toy" aspect of the Maverick, not going with the "steampunk" or "sci-fi" feel aesthetic mods (they never turn out pretty, anyway).
I have yet to enhance the firing capability or range, but I may do that. Eventually.
I used a Gundam Marker to panel line and detail.
OH BY THE WAY
Foolmaster reminded me that not everyone is as much of a loser as I am, so here is an awesome Instructable on how to do the Barrel Mod featured above.
