CHRISTMAS TREANT, THE FESTIVE FIR FELLOW.
Happy #monstermonday and Happy Holidays! This is my entry into the #HolidayMonsterSmash challenge being hosted by @bricksanFELLOW. over on Instagram, and is a build I've been excited to make for quite a while! The Christmas Treant is a creature that would fit perfectly in a holiday-themed D&D one-shot, and opens up a lot of fun possibilities for story. How long has the treant been festive? Who decorates the treant? Is the decor itchy? How do they get the topper on? While in my world, the holiday isn't called Christmas, there is, in fact, a festive treant whose story inspired the tradition of decorating trees for those that celebrate. For a fun little bit of lore regarding it, read on! Swipe through to the end to see the Treant both alternatively decorated in ornaments and undecorated!
Ages ago, when the Dwarven holiday of Gotmas was still in its infancy, there existed a quaint little village nestled into the Lower Gottim Mountain Range. The village was known for being one of the few Dwarven settlements that saw snow fall in the winter. The village had befriended an ancient creature known as a Treant—a living, walking, thinking tree—and had many years of friendship with the being. They would often trade gifts, and occasionally play light-hearted pranks on each other. One fateful Gotmas Eve, however, a group of young Dwarves in the village noted that the Treant never had any holidays to celebrate, and planned to rectify it with a practical joke of their own.
That night, while the Treant was rooted and fast asleep, the Dwarves snuck out with a coil of colorful magelights affixed to a white, silvery rope—the same kind of garlands they decorated their homes with. They crept into the grove where the Treant slept and set themselves to work. Vibrant twinkles of blue, red, yellow, and green now lit up the ancient being, topped off with a golden star ornament. When the Dwarves were done decorating, they woke up the Treant, grins plastered across their faces. When the Treant awoke, however, he did not revel in their amusement, for he thought the young Dwarves had set him on fire. The Treant found a newfound pep in his step and chased the Dwarves through the woods, their laughter quickly turning to panic.
When the Treant had finally reached the village, and the Dwarvish youths had run out of breath, he stopped, and looked around. People had started to come out of their houses at the commotion of the Treant's thunderous footsteps, and beheld the sight. As the Treant surveyed the Dwarves he had called friends, and they surveyed him, they began to ooh and ah. The crowd that had gathered started to remark on how lovely the Treant looked in the magelights, and how fitting the gold star atop the canopy was. The Treant slowly began to see that the decorations that covered his leafy branches matched those that the Dwarves had strung up on their roof eaves.
"Merry Gotmas, Mr. Treant!" cried the young Dwarves, who had finally caught their breath. The crowd began to chime in, echoing their sentiment, and wishing good tidings to the ancient plant. The Treant started to laugh, as the Dwarves gathered around him and sung their Gotmas songs, dancing and playing in the colorfully lit night. Since that fateful Gotmas Eve, the tradition of decorating trees in ornaments and magelights began to spread to all who celebrated Gotmas. It's said that each year, the youths of that village still go up into the woods to decorate the Treant, and bring him gifts. To Dwarves all around the world who celebrate the age-old tradition of Gotmas, there's no question about it: it's truly the most wonderful time of the year.

My second build for LCC, this one is for the GC VI restricted scene category. Sorry for the lengthy story- quite a bit lighter in tone than the last one, as the Minister in question is, well, you'll see. C&C are most welcome, as always!
Only 15 Draken! Mercenary tax, indeed. 16 men and a boy had died for that money; 17 lives all told, and he hadn't even received a Draken a head! Blood silver, that was, and the blasted Queen had taken more than her fair share. Reparations due the nobility!?! Ha! As if the greedy blaggards needed more coin with which to line their bloated pockets!
Hans Zarkan continued on his path through the forests of Eastern Lenfald, silently fuming over the injustice of it all. It had been a simple job from the outset, 50 silver draken for the permanent removal of a band of undesirables that had taken up operations in the area. Broken men they were too, naught more than husks of whatever they had been in years prior; yet more lost souls driven to thievery and madness by the cruelty of the world. He had done his part, and spent three weeks tracking them down to a man. The boy had been the last of them. Tragic, perhaps, but Hans Zarkan was not a man to entertain such inane distractions. The world was harsh and unfair; a fact that ought be learned by those that inhabit it, lest it prove fatal sooner rather than later. That same fact had once again reared its ugly head and left Hans short on money, and high on expenses.
Lacking enough draken to purchase food at a local tavern after paying off a myriad of recently accrued debts, Hans had left town to search for a bit of game. He had been trekking through the forest for a good six hours without much luck when he heard a distant rustling, as though some form of animal may be nearby. Hans silently cloaked himself in the nearest thicket and drew his boot knife. He had never been much of an archer, but why use an arrow where a knife will do?
What came through the woods shortly after however, was one of the last things Hans would ever have expected.
A small procession consisting of nine men were making their way through the forest. They seemed to be trying to pass through with as little fanfare as possible, but this goal was rendered just short of impossible thanks to the heroic efforts of a portly, absurdly overdressed man riding in a litter. The man in question was loudly proclaiming his utter distaste for Lenfald in general, interspersed with insults directed at the unfortunate peasants carrying his litter.
"I say, Captain Zhael, is it not soon that we shall arrive at our destination? I do so tire of all this incessant greenery, and as you know, staying in this litter too long gives me the- watch those branches you miserable bufoons, lest I have you executed for neglect!- the lumps. It is MOST uncomfortable let me assure you." The man spoke with the kind of pretentious, high pitched whine normally reserved for precocious children and government officials. The kind of voice that expanded beyond the region of unpleasant, and into the realm of being offensive to the sensitivity of any unfortunate enough to find themselves within earshot.
"Perhaps your grace would prefer to walk, should the litter continue to be such a burden." The man walking beside the litter, presumably Captain Zhael, responded.
Hans thought to himself for a minute, Zhael- where have I heard that name before...
Hans' train of thought was broken however, as the group neared his location, and he was able to look at them more clearly. 9 men in total, two peasants, the pompous git, a Lenfel pathfinder of some sort that seemed to be guiding the company, and...
Hans narrowed his eyes as he recognized the emblem on the armor of the other 5 men. These were no ordinary travelers. They bore the emblem of the queen on their cloaks, but ordinary soldiers they were not. Hans had seen such characters once before, and it was not an encounter he remembered fondly. These were soldiers of the Queensguard. Unlike the rabble that made up the bulk of the Queen's armies, these were elite warriors trained for the sole purpose of protecting the queen and her most important retainers. It was said that each man of the guard had to prove capable of slaying a score of men single-handedly to even be considered for induction into the ranks. Grim men indeed.
Hans held his position, and his breath, as the company stalled right in front of the thicket he had taken up temporary residency in.
"Walk? You expect me, a man of unfathomable importance to even consider the thought of walking? Absurd!" The man continued as he took a large gulp from the bejeweled goblet he was holding. "You should know better than to make such insolent and ill-informed recommendations Captain Zhael! You had best speak more respectfully when addressing your betters!"
"Of course, Minister Lowe, please forgive my trespass, I meant no harm by the remark." Captain Zhael replied, rolling his eyes when the Minister bent over to take a closer look at something off to the side of his litter.
"Aha! You see here, those Loreesi were right! This is the 2nd frog I've found in two months in this blasted country! It's practically an epidemic! Which reminds me..." The soldiers and the guide stared on in utter disgust as the minister proceeded to bring the poor frog to his mouth and lick it. He smacked his lips and pondered the taste for a moment, then continued his bizarre activity. "Not bad, actually, not bad at all! The Loreesi Ambassador told me of this Lenfel delicacy while I was visiting on business in Balmunatha! It's a bit odd at first, but it seems to be an acquired taste, yes quite pleasant indeed. Almost takes the mind off these horrid lumps!"
Hans nearly choked on the air he was witholding. Minister Lowe? As in Tax Minister Humbert Lowe, the top financial magistrate appointed by Queen Galanir to oversee all new financial regulations and changes made to Roawia? This was the very blaggard who was at the core of these ridiculous overtaxations and fees over the whole of Roawia! Although, seeing him in person, the rapid decline in sanity of the nobility's tax policies suddenly made sense. But what could he possibly be doing here?
"Your grace, as you well know, I am a native of Lenfald, and frogs are not at all considered...." Captain Zhael ceased talking and sighed to himself as the Minister completely ignored him, happily licking his frog and talking to his litter carriers about the various side effects of his lumps.
"Captain Zhael sirrah! I'd rekon we's about only 2 days souf of Crumford, sah! It'll be tougha goens from here on out, this bit of the paff's not been used in decades, so its a bit ovahgrown, sah." The guide had finished cutting enough space for the litter to move through the brush and turned to inform the dour guard captain.
"Very well, then, lead on, I'm not familiar with this part of Lenfald, but I'll be damn glad to be able to pawn him off on someone else for a few days once we get to Crumford." Captain Zhael remarked, the first bit to the guide, the second under his breath. He waved on the rest of the company to move forward with the guide. Just as he was turning to continue on with the rest, he happened to glance over at the thicket where Hans was hiding. He narrowed his eyes, and for a brief second it seemed as though he might investigate further, but it was at that moment the whine of Minister Lowe once again broke the silence of the forest.
"Look at that! A fresh frog- that makes three! Blast it all, three frogs in 2 months, this is quite the epidemic, quite the epidemic indeed! Do you know Captain Zhael, I should instill a frog tax! A frog tax, isn't it brilliant? Captain Zhael? Where has he gone?" The captain sighed, his face twisted into an expression of sheer disgust as he exited the area to attend to the oafish minister.
Hans relaxed, and silently left the thicket. Crumford? Hans thought. Of course the Tax Minister would have to stop at Crumford, it's one of the wealthiest cities in Lenfald! Maybe this day wasn't turning out too badly after all- information on the whereabouts of one of the most hated officials in Roawia should prove quite valuable to the right channels....

Behind the bricks story:
Some time ago I had a customer that came to me and wanted a commission.
He wanted the Apollo IE or this AMG project one. Both amazing cars and we decided on the Apollo. The Mercedes was still a concept back then.
Last summer Mercedes announced that there would be 275 units produced, which all sold out. When the news came out and it became “real” I needed to build it. So here it is. My Brick build rendition of the Project one.
This rendition features openable doors. And an active spoiler which was hard to make since the rear only sticks out 3,5 studs and the technic piece I used for it, needed to be 5 studs in height. This needed to be this long so that the spoiler could move up just high enough that it would sit right under the fin on the back.
This creation also features 3D-printed door frames, canards and wheels. (The wheels took me some time 😂)
.
.
.
Real car stats:
It’s assisted by two electric motors, one to boost the engine and one fitted to the F1-style turbocharger. Combined, the engine and motors produce 1,063hp
Mercedes claim that this car will do 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds, and 0-124mph in under six seconds. The top speed is over 217mph.
Oh yeah and the car will be sold for around 2.7M USD .
Chances that you’ll be able to own one of these are close to none but building this scale model out of bricks can be done. Head over to my website and there you’ll be able to get the preorder in. Instructions will be available late December.
Enjoy the post and happy building!
My take on War Machine Mech Armor, set number 76277🔥
I just solved it's poseability issues, so basically this MOC is made for posing.
This figure has double-joints almost everywhere.
In terms of design this armor refers strongly to War Machine Mark 1, from the "Iron Man 2" movie.
INSTRUCTIONS are available here:

I really enjoyed the Hunger Games books and the first movie was great (not seen the second.)
I found I had an every Hawkeye torso so I decided to make Katniss.
Going to Ebay her to raise more Lego cash!
I wanted to play around with the new Nexo Knights pieces and thought about Tony having attachable limbs to help with larger jobs. Happy with the outcome.

BORGOOP, THE PLASMOID MONK.
This is my third character for the Greymane's Haven Adventuring Guild ongoing challenge hosted over on @greymane_guild on Instagram! As these characters come together, you may start to notice a theme...
Borgoop is a gelatinous, translucent green humanoid known as a Plasmoid, and is a Monk of the Way of the Drunken Master. He wields... himself? The plasmoid possesses the ability to produce a pseudopod, which Borgoop has taken a step further, and learned to produce hardened plasma weapons from his own organic matter. Owed to his incredible flexibility, Borgoop moves in a mesmerizing and confusing flow during combat, disorienting his foes. His strange demeanor, speech patterns, and tendency to leave behind traces of ooze where he's been ensure he has a difficult time fitting in with high society, but his allies couldn't imagine a party without him--either kind.
In January 2021, we were approached by Google, via the creative agency Stink Studios, to create 10 custom designs for them. They also tasked us with producing 10 copies of each as gift sets! We are finally able to share with you the work we did! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Google and Stink Studios on these sets and they were ecstatic with the results. We hope you enjoy them as well!

I wanted to play around with the new Nexo Knights pieces and thought about Tony having attachable limbs to help with larger jobs. Happy with the outcome.
A newly improved version of my latest chibi characters. I gave all of them a new stand. Not much changed for Ahsoka, Scorpion and Wing Mario were originally made for the Rogue Olympics, so capped at 101 pieces, now I added a few pieces, so they are ready to be displayed at an upcoming exhibition.

This is the last photo in my GOW series. These have been some of my favorite customs to create and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. It's also been great to see the new influx of GOW builds from some the best customizers in the community. It has all been coming together at once and we've seen some great stuff!
Part of the famous poem below (by Alan Seeger) was used in a GOW2 promotional video shortly before the game was released. It certainly seems to speak to the harsh game-world that we know as Gears of War. I thought it was fitting to use it here as well to close this series of photos.

I have a rendezvous with Death
At some disputed barricade,
When Spring comes back with rustling shade
And apple-blossoms fill the air—
I have a rendezvous with Death
When Spring brings back blue days and fair.
It may be he shall take my hand
And lead me into his dark land
And close my eyes and quench my breath—
It may be I shall pass him still.
I have a rendezvous with Death
On some scarred slope of battered hill,
When Spring comes round again this year
And the first meadow-flowers appear.
God knows 'twere better to be deep
Pillowed in silk and scented down,
Where love throbs out in blissful sleep,
Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath,
Where hushed awakenings are dear...
But I've a rendezvous with Death
At midnight in some flaming town,
When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous.
- Alan Seeger, Poet (1888-1916)

I´m back. Finally I managed my lack of creativity an will start up fresh and full of inspiration. So here comes my new generation dwarf. I´m a bit proud that i made to sculpt the beard and hair in a quite accetable way. please do not pay too much attention to the arms! I know that i have to practise more on sculpting them. Anyway I´ve tried to capture a compact and bulky look as fantasy dwarves naturally are. Best Regards and hope you like it! ;)
My first attempt at building something in Chibi style, I hope I get it right. I have been inspired from an interesting article on Bricknerd.
Here you can find the video tutorial:
