Great horned owlet peeks at me from a cozy nest in the fork of a eucalyptus tree. Mom supervises from a nearby branch.

Most of this herd of grazing cattle came over to check me out when I stopped and walked up to the fence.
An unusual photo but also an unusual experience when photographing this Eastern Towhee. I was lying in the grass to achieve a low point of view and taking a few shots as it scratched at the leaves and occasionally would disappear into the underbrush. That's when the Towhee seemed curious and came directly toward the camera and this resulting photo.
Normally my experience with towhees is trying to catch a quick shot before they disappear into a thicket or the underbrush. An unusual but interesting experience as it stood looking into the lens.

Un touriste américain venait de donner deux ballons à ces jeunes filles ! Leur réaction était assez curieuse !!!
One little deer detached itself from the herd grazing in the background to have a look at the group of passing ramblers.

for Happy Fence Friday
While I was working in my garden putting the seeds in the ground, this curious little guy, my “wild” pet, was sitting on the fence watching me. It knows I usually have a few tasty pieces of meat with me. :))

The spotted owlet (Athene brama) is a small owl which breeds in tropical Asia from mainland India to Southeast Asia. A common resident of open habitats including farmland and human habitation, it has adapted to living in cities. They roost in small groups in the hollows of trees or in cavities in rocks or buildings. It nests in a hole in a tree or building, laying 3–5 eggs!

As I was taking this, a suave and very good looking gentleman dressed in a business suit came up behind me and asked, 'What are you taking pictures of? Am I missing something?' I said, 'Oh, just pretty things all around here. I'm imagining it's Springtime...'

Took this photo from the gardens of Prague Castle as they overlook the city. I'm curious to know what the statue in the foreground is. I think it may be something to do with the "Infant of Prague" but can't remember any details.
This junco was checking out the ground level plants next to the Willamette River. I paused to watch, and it cocked its head at me, trying to figure me out.
After a bit of face cleaning by the mother, the fawn wanted to have a look around and see what nice plants would be available in the yard as it grows up. Stevenson, Skamania Co, WA, June 6, 2020.
...All drenched in autumn's gold. This guy was watching me put nuts in the "peanut wheel". (will post some photos of that at a later date). He didn't waste any time swooping down as soon as I walked away.
This little fellow was curious of the nature of that big round glass ( the camera lens ) and instead of being afraid it came closer to observe this strange thing, giving me a good model :D.
Along the Rochdale Canal near Castleton.
The Rochdale Canal is in Northern England, between Manchester and Sowerby Bridge, part of the connected system of the canals of Great Britain. Its name refers to the town of Rochdale through which it passes. The Rochdale is a broad canal because its locks are wide enough to allow vessels of 14 feet width. Wikipedia
"Like the naked leads the blind.
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.
All alone in space and time.
There's nothing here but what here's mine.
Something borrowed, something blue.
