I have drooled over these measuring cups for so long every time I saw them... and now they are all mine. :o) Thanks mom & dad!
I think this is a Claret Cup Cactus, although I am not totally sure. Here in TX we have one that looks very similar and is called Claret cup.
It is really common to find the Cup Moth caterpillar cups nestled in bark around the place. It's less common though to find them on grasses. I thought this one looked very delicate.
