That was the focus of discussion for "Crypto World", a free program jointly presented by the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and the MSBA Consumer Bankruptcy Section and hosted by the Baltimore offices of Venable LLP.
IWIRC board member Joyce A. Kuhns, a Principal in the Baltimore office of Offit Kurman, P.A., moderated the panel discussion that featured Catherine K. Hopkin (Yumkas, Vidmar, Sweeney & Mulrenin, LLC); Brian Dykstra (Atlantic Data Forensics); Bud Stephen Tayman (Bud Steven Tayman, P.A.); and Rasneek Gujral (Richard D. London & Associates, P.C.).
"We're hoping that you leave today able to better serve your clients because you will be able to answer 'yes' to two key questions in the brave new world of cybercurrency and blockchain," said Kuhns. "'Am I familiar with, and do I have a basic understanding of, the key terminology to navigate this space and understand its intrinsic risks and rewards?' and 'Do I know enough to ask the right questions that could lead to workable solutions?'"
More than two dozen people attended the event, the second collaborative effort between IWIRC and the Consumer Bankruptcy Section.
