Fuji velvia Cross Processed

I am starting a 365 project, but every photo will have the affect "cross process" applied to it.

I am you.

You love me.

I love you.

I know I'll continue to wait for you."

pentax me super+ dia in c41.

Some older shots I decided to jazz up with the cross process preset in Lightroom. Most of these are "Cross Process 3", with lots of grain and a heavy vignette added.

just another of this little cutie from my wedding yesterday. . . . this time with a little cross process . . .

I guess it's an imperfect sort of day.

The color of the bittersweet is the real deal. I did a little lomo cross-processing to give the photo more depth (the background was basically the same color as the foreground). And I added texture because it's photographically rather poor quality. It was cold, wet, and dark when I took this shot. BUT look at the color of the 'sweet--I didn't know bittersweet could be so golden. :)

My version of "Cross Processing"

I think anyone who has tried to photograph a color film negative rather than scanning it can appreciate the amount of work that was put into editing this too look as natural as possible!

This is a HIGHLY edited JPG file and my girlfriend turned the Noise Filter in the camera to High, so the grain and noise aren't from the film... They're definitely from me.

Bubbles in the sunshine - happy times! Used high contrast and a little bit of cross processing. My tripod plate has been misplaced so waiting for a new one to arrive - frustrating. And can't believe it's the last day of July already!

I was never a huge fan of cross-processing my slide film in C-41 chemistry but I decided to try cross-processing FPP's RetroChrome.

I shot this image at 80 iso and had it cross-processed in C-41 chemistry to produce a color negative. Color slide film is designed to be processed E6 for a color positive. Cross-processing it will alter the color palette and give you less than realistic color tones. On this beautiful sunny day, the film cross-processed produced very pleasing colors!

FPP's RetroChrome is cold-stored expired Kodak Ektachrome hand-rolled from ultra-large cinema reels.

This is the old garage on the front of St Mawes, Cornwall. The cross processing (courtesy of Google Nik) brings out the timeless quality of the building.

Yeah, my brain feels crossed processed. I have one bad headache and only two days of vacation left. I am already sad. I am not ready for school with its kids, and its meetings, and its rainy day schedules...

I am going to miss Flickr... and all of you guys, but I will get to your streams as often as my time and energy allow.

P.S. Another shot dropped off Explore... Who knows why they make it and then they are not good enough...

Agfa precisa ct100 slide film cross processed in Tetenal Colortec c41

These cross processed agfa slides looked very green, i scanned them as positives and let some of the green out to get back some colors. The edges from the negative holder turned pink, which I didn't crop because I kind of liked them.

Exposure: around 120 seconds, about f/8

Camera: Holga 120N rigged for long exposures

Film: Cross processed 120 Ektachrome 160T (scan of print)

Date: 13 Feb. 2006

Location: Concrete Batching Plant, East providence, RI

Notes:

Similar shot to the previous one but this one I caught the light I was trying to avoid. With a Holga what you see in the viewfinder is not really what you get on the film but that is part of the fun of it.

This time out it was Judyboy, Rizzolo, LaRizzoloca, Douglass and a few new friends from the Boston area: Skyephoto, Katherine and Christian.

The night started out crisp and clear with a haze rolling in later resulting in some pretty dramatically lit skies.

You can see a group pool here of all our shots on Flickr from the night or a slick slideshow here. It may take a week or so for all the shots to be posted.

The film is "Godard" from Six Gates Films of Milan, this is a colour slide film which I cross-processed in C41 chemistry.

This photo was taken with the "Splitzer" device attached to the camera, this allows multiple exposures to be made with a different portion of the film exposed each time.

Trying out cross processing.

This is actually two tutorials in one. Learn how to mute the colors of an image, yet retain a pleasing effect. Next learn to cross process the image. The tutorial is here:

to be continued...

Week 7

52 Weeks of 2024

Title: Cross-processing

New hobby for 2024: Learning to play the ukulele. Cross-processed to create an old-fashioned effect.

The original image looked rather bland, although I liked the mosaic tiled background. Thought I would try a cross processing technique I read about a few months ago.
