This is the end of a 12m stretch of cycle path at St. Cross. But where does it end? At the post? Across the pavement? Or in the middle of the road in a refuge?
N.B. There is no continuation on the other side of the road and the pavement only runs to the right; there is no pavement if you want to turn left here.
To reverse the excursion train consist intact, the train shows out of Jim Thorpe back to Jim Thorpe Junction. At Jim Thorpe Junction, the consist will move forward cross ing the Lehigh River via the new bridge into the park. Once the consist clears the RIVER switch, then they will shove back via the LGSR main line into Jim Thorpe.

21st May 2011 - 365 day 141. It always seems to take an age for the train (and usually trains) to pass the level crossing in Shoreham. I'm sure that with a bit of extra technology, the 'downtimes' could be safely cut.

This cut is called When Peace Like A River. For some reason, I have often found myself feeling close to God in the embrace of the nature He created. While trying to decide on a title for this one, I sat observing the bench, wishing I could be in it, just observing, soaking in the peace. So, that is how the title came about.
I was reminded of the old hymn with the same words in it. May they speak to your soul, and comfort you and bring you peace. May your heart be open to drawing closer to God, so that He can draw closer to you. :-)

Horatio Spafford, at one time a successful businessman, wrote the poem below after two traumatic events that took place in his life in close succession.
The first was the death of his son shortly after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871(which left him financially ruined).
Then, in 1873, while crossing the Atlantic, all four of Spafford’s daughters died in a collision with another ship. Spafford’s wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, “Saved alone.”
