Thought about this one....
Was it having access to so many information sources? Books? Literature? Art? Travel? Libations? Chocolate? Morning Coffee?
or is it just the joy of the challenge to constantly look at something differently and try and figure out what to do with it? Working with learners pre K-20+ and trying to problem solve their journey in the use of technology?
or finding comfort in being different?
or exploring the paths less travelled......have always went the opposite way of the crowd to see what else can be found.
but mostly the creative fuel comes from family - love and caring. Family also includes friends and those who are part of everyday life for whatever period of time they are with me. Seeing through the eyes of others and listening to their passions fuels the creative process.
Thanks to family and extended family out there who fuel my inspiration.
We try to remember to take a family photo each December. We take a few serious ones and then always some where faces and fooling around are required.......usually the best ones for memories! This year's edition is only the immediate family. We are down to one grandparent- on his way to FL, and brother and sisters with their families were not around for this time. The family is not as large as some of the others in the photo groups, but we are "large" at heart.

Creativity in Context is an update of The Social Psychology of Creativity, a classic text for researchers, students, and other interested readers. Creativity in Context incorporates extensive new material, going far beyond the original to provide a comprehensive picture of how the motivation for creative behavior, and creativity itself, can be influenced by the social environment.Teresa Amabile describes new findings from both her own research and from the work of many others in the field, detailing not only the ways in which creativity can be killed by social-psychological influences, but also the ways in which it can be maintained and stimulated. 'In my early years in advertising in the 80s, I saw the process of creativity in an agency as a relay race. Client servicing took the brief from the client, converted it to a strategy and brief (there were no formal planners in Ogilvy India then) and gave it to creative.'
I built a springed "Henge" dock back in 2008 into my nightstand.
The dock has connectors that lead to my tv and stereo, aswell as a usb hub at the far end of the nightstand, and power. The vents are purposely kept away from the wood of the table and the dock to prevent overheating. The slot loading DVD player loads from the top, and the IR receiver is accessible at the top.
Henry is so lucky to have such creativity in the family! From Yoda pancakes to octopus hot dogs.... Fun time in Westford! I stole this picture from my son's Facebook album. :-)
