This series are photographs taken while discovering this magnificent 'bush' Capital of ours and the surrounding region.
I moved here to live at the end of May 2014 and this grouping were taken in March 2015 on a little Monday drive down the coast. Bateman's Bay is Canberra's 'coast'... about a 2 hour drive from here and we continued on about another 50km south from there, taking in some beautiful beaches and resulting in me finally being able to get some great shots of kangaroos (and wallabies). It is such a beautiful part of the world and I haven't been here for a very, very long time, so it was nice to see it again... with fresh eyes.
There are so many areas of natural beauty in Canberra, it's certainly worth a visit!
The reason they are linked to my pinch river profile is because they will inevitably feed into my work at some stage in some way or another, but for now can just be enjoyed as images of the area that captured my attention and inspired my creativity.

This is my son and a project he did for one of his classes. It's a soldered wire sculpture. I love his creativity!
Flow .... feeling happy in my bright choices and that the belt I randomly choose to wear actually matches the green foliage on my bright top (which has a lot of other colours on it)

Although I love taking pictures of my girls smiles I thought it fitting to begin and end with a self portrait. Feeling much more comfortable in front of the camera now.
