I took this picture walking down the famed ‘graffiti street’ in San Francisco. The entire street is just filled with creative demonstrations of public art and its always changing and evolving, What a great medium to share and express
And completely without creativity. Its been a long and exhausting weekend and I just didn't have it in me to be creative. I'm a lot more tired than my eyes let on.
Nurture Your Creativity Bootcamp Assignment 1 - Define what creativity means to you. My definition of creativity: filling in the blanks. A writer begins with a blank page, an artist a blank canvass. What happens to in the time between the blank page and completion? There are blank spaces along the way that make room for insights and connections to be made - and that's creativity at play. This is what met me as I walked through the gates to my youngest son's daycare center today. I love that place, they take the BEST care of our children! The whole place is always buzzing with creativity, you can actually feel it in the air as you walk by... They build and draw and paint and glue and play and dream all day long. I imagine this is what paradise must be like.
But tomorrow is his last day there. Ever. He is going to be a big kid and start school this autumn. I'm packing a huge load of kleenex in my purse for tomorrow afternoon!

VISUAL LIBRARIES - Leave your Mark.
A collaborative, visual project which encourages you to sign out a Visual Library Book and ‘Leave Your Mark’.
A Visual Library Book is whatever you want it to be, a sketchbook, a journal, a diary, a notepad.
You can ‘Leave Your Mark’ in whatever way you want, ranging from drawing, writing, sewing, adding photographs, markings, printing and sticking. How you make your marks is entirely up to you. All we ask is that you have fun with the different themes.
45 Visual Library Books have been placed in Portsmouth Central Library and each has its own theme ranging from; Portsmouth, My City, When I Open My Eyes, Whilst I Was Waiting, Love, What’s in My Pocket and Memories. The intention is for you to feel free to explore the Visual Library Books and choose a theme that you like.

The Metaphysical Plot Device delivers a cabinet-within-a-cabinet solution, providing necessary relief from the chaotic creativity purveyed by other wonderboxen. Justin Hall invites you to understand less by viewing the story of the MPD construction, which details how a video loop played off a Raspberry Pi through an LCD screen fronted by painted dollhouse cabinets could emerge from pataphysical efforts to upend our understanding of entertainment and enlightenment. As other wonderboxen wiggle here in nested cabinets, the context for our current reality becomes clear: the Pataphysical Slot Machine is actually part of the Metaphysical Plot Device. We will unveil this wonderbox as part of our Pataphysical Slot Machine exhibit at the Mill Valley Library on October 2, 2015. Learn more at htttp://pataphysics.us

Each year, DDB Canada's offices showcases their culture of creativity by hosting Share DDB, a unique fundraising event where staff members contribute items to the silent auction. Items range from photography, paintings and handmade jewelry to rock-climbing lessons, sailing adventures, catered gourmet dinners and more. Anything that can be imagined (and made) can be submitted for staff, their significant others, clients, suppliers and invited guests to bid on.
The proceeds are split between two deserving charities selected by staff. Share DDB 2013 in Toronto raised $21,000 for two very deserving charities, the James Lee Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.
Make a photograph that uses the rule of thirds composition in a very obvious way and post it.
PS: I was sure I was going to shoot a sunset today, but got lucky when my brother called me over to go out with him and my nephew to the park during sunset. :)
By the time we got to the park, I calculated we had three minutes to take the shot I had in mind using the 'rule of thirds', so I had to trick him to throw stones while I took the photos. After a minute and a half he was already tired of throwing rocks, and wanted to be the photographer. :D
On post production minor adjustments to darks (-1) and lights (-2). The rest is straight aout of camera.

When I went to the Flower & Garden Show at Hick's Nurseries, my daughter, Veronica, went with me to get some shots also. She is into photography too, and has her own Flickr page here. She even does photography work on her school newspaper.
