While wandering around a back laneway in Toronto, I discovered this painted wooden fence, revealing the hidden talent of a fine artist.

You never know what you might see riding the country roads... this caught my eye traveling through the little town of Newton NC.

It's almost like a children's wonderland once I get inside Casa Batlló....with striking colors and shapes everywhere. Here on the rooftop these unique and colorful chimneys with beautiful mosaic tiles are yet another example of Gaudí’s iconic architectural works.

Casa Batlló is a renowned building located in the center of Barcelona and is one of Antoni Gaudí’s masterpieces. A remodel of a previously built house, it was redesigned in 1904 by Gaudí and has been refurbished several times after that. Inside, Kanazawa Bikazari Asano showcases an extensive array of Ishikawa’s traditional crafts, including the delicate Kutaniyaki porcelain, the intricate Kaga Yuzen dye, the luxurious Kanazawa Gold Leaf, the detailed Kaganui embroidery works, and the elegant Paulownia crafts. Each piece on display is a testament to the skill and creativity of local artisans who are redefining the boundaries of traditional craft with innovative techniques and modern interpretations.
