Thought I would give some home studio photography a try using a model spitfire, loved making that and painting it.

White Cotton wool and some I sprayed grey against a blue background, a hand held light held above model for lighting.

Later edited in photoshop adding propeller blur

Pozo Valley is a great place for the exploration of astrophotography and for that matter any photography. With the valley being somewhat distant from city lights, it makes it almost ideal for stargazers. During the day there are many photogenic oak trees scattered along the valley. There is a much abundance of wildlife to also photograph.

I noticed a cluster of lilac buds along with a curled and dried up lilac leaf in the sunshine today. For the past week the weather has been in the high 70's. If the weather stays warm for the next few days, they will be opening. I'll have to keep checking.

Also, If you look closely between the stem and the leaf, you will see a tiny spider's web.

Filters and resizing are from Photoshop2025. There is no texture added.

Last night I received sad news about the loss of a wonderful friend, prominent Flickr member and high class professional photographer Kevin Renz. The message said - "It is with a grieving heart that we write to let you know that our dear Kevin passed peacefully this morning, September 28 at 11:11a.m., leaving his pain-riddled body behind. He was surrounded with the love of his family and the very best of care."

I was so lucky to meet Kevin in person and develop great friendship with this intelligent, generous, broadly educated and well mannered man - true photo master from whom I learnt a lot.
