Vibrant hues of azure, emerald, and goldenrod dominate the sun-drenched facade of a local building in the Península Valdés region, where a playful mural celebrates the craft of brewing. At the center of the composition stands a stylized, anthropomorphic guanaco, an iconic camelid of the Patagonian steppe, rendered with a knowing smirk and draped in a white brewer's apron. The whimsical creature is depicted mid-action, delicately dropping bright green hop cones into a polished, silver brewing vat. This striking piece of street art bridges the gap between the wild, untamed nature of this UNESCO World Heritage site and the region's burgeoning artisanal craft beer culture. Above the industrious guanaco, a bold crimson banner proudly declares the brand name "GUANACO" in crisp, white lettering, anchoring the artwork's identity. Swirling waves of blue water weave through the background, connecting an industrial grain hopper on the left to lush, climbing vines of hops cascading down the right side. Shot under the harsh, brilliant light of a clear Argentine afternoon, the photograph captures the mural with razor-sharp clarity and a deep depth of field that keeps every painted detail crisp. The direct sunlight casts subtle, natural shadows along the edges of the building, contrasting with the painted shadows of the roaring yellow and red flames beneath the brewing kettles. The photographer's slightly low, angled perspective emphasizes the scale of the artwork against the arid, scrub-covered hillside visible just beyond the building's edge. This creative intersection of regional wildlife and human industry offers a vibrant cultural snapshot of modern Patagonia, proving that local pride extends from the rugged coastlines right to the side of a bustling local business. This colorful tableau stands as a testament to the creative spirit thriving on the edges of the South Atlantic. This image is a collaborative production by Samuel Jeffery and Audrey Bergner for Project 23.

This vibrant photograph captures a fascinating display of hand-painted t-shirts at a local market in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As part of Project 23, travel photographers Samuel Jeffery and Audrey Bergner explored the artistic side of the city to bring you this visual guide. The stall features an impressive collection of garments, each adornned with highly detailed portraits of famous musicians, movie characters, and pop culture icons. Recognizable faces include legendary figures like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Mick Jagger, and Amy Winehouse painted with striking realism. Darker cinematic characters such as the Joker, Hannibal Lecter, and Jason Voorhees also make an appearance on these unique wearable artworks. A small sign above the display clearly instructs buyers in both English and Spanish to 'Hand wash in cold water' to preserve the intricate designs. The dedication to craftsmanship is evident in the shading and vivid colors used to bring these familiar faces to life on fabric. Market finds like these highlight the incredible street art and artisan culture that thrives throughout the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Neither Samuel Jeffery, Audrey Bergner, nor Daniel Bergner are visible in this specific shot, as the focus remains entirely on the local vendor's impressive merchandise. This image serves as a perfect testament to the creative spirit encountered by Audrey and Samuel during their Argentine explorations.
