I've wanted to do some more conceptual-type stuff for awhile now. So, I decided to spend a couple of sleepless nights putting this together.

Time falls sideways here. Not stars, not rain—just gravity playing tricks with light. Somewhere between space and memory, the universe blinked. A cascade of cosmic light, like rain falling from another realm. It feels as if the stars themselves are weeping—soft streaks of time washing over the void
The original photo was taken in Portugal. Once again I played with layers and textures to give a different feeling to my photo in a similar way than the previous photo.

Good Panda from the day Flickr was down visits with the baby bears from Cade's Cove Loop near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Never saw the explore on this until over 2 months later. That surprised me since it was a revamp of an old image. :-)

Native British Isles bluebells are blue/purple in colour with an arching stem and long trumpet style flower with curled back petals, all growing on the same side of the stem.
Any other bluebell is a dominant foreign vagrant which is overpowering this beautiful indigenous variety.

Canon 430EX II in 60" Photek Softlighter behind and above me. Incandescent in front of me to slightly highlight my face and the front of me. The background is a photo I took in the summer of 2011 of the Great Sand Dunes. It was a very windy day as a storm was brewing. That night the wind picked up and practically ripped my tent from the ground.
The wooden boat photo is from the Woodenboat Forum. Built by the Skaneateles Boat & Canoe Co. The ad calls this a "sailing canoe," but it's set up for rowing rather than paddling. Supposedly it's been hanging in a restaurant on Nantucket for at least 30 years.

Georgia O'Keeffe. This is an edited version of the bright red Amaryllis buds I just posted. With a few slides, I can change the mood of that image to what feels like a more calm approach to the world than the bold reds. Happy Sliders Sunday.
