Will Bryant is a graphic designer and illustrator extraordinaire! Based in Austin, Texas, Will makes things because he gets sad if he doesn't. His work is playful, fun, and always bright. He filled up a DIY Scout Book (Cover included!) in ONE DAY. Seriously. One day. A study in patterns. Sweet!
The ever-talented Nikki McClure, Olympia, Washington papercut artist, has released six new poster designs over on www.buyolympia.com. Head over there to find many more examples of her work.
These Portland Bingo Cards come to us from the super-talented Bishop Lennon and Amy Ruppel. Every city should have Bingo cards; however, I think most Portlanders would agree that none would be as awesome as these. I can just imagine loading up a car full of people to go driving around, shouting out all the Portland-y things you find while everyone hangs their flailing limbs out of the rolled-down windows. Thanks to Amy Ruppel for providing the great photos you see here. The cards turned out fantastic!
Jen Spencer Coaches is an executive + business coaching firm specializing in creative executives and entrepreneurs. Designer Jennifer Elsner helped her create this Scout Book for her existing and new, potential clients.
Spencer says, "Part of coaching is experiencing new insights and thinking. Scout books are a great way to encourage [my] clients to capture their ideas and brilliance. The belly band is the perfect way to plant the seeds of a message, while leaving the canvas blank for the client to play!"
The PDX POP NOW! music festival hits Portland each summer. We're stoked to donate these Scout Books to them each year. See if you can get your hands on one at this summer's festival.
This year's design features a photograph by Melani Brown on the back. Awesome.
The line-up was just announced! Check it out.
Vance Reeser makes animated films, creates images, crafts websites, and writes a blog. He so expertly filled up this Scout Book with some amazing character sketches–and a collage treat at the end. Not to mention the first time we've ever seen the Scout Book used as a mask! Bravo, bravo Vance! Great innovation. Great sketches.
Find Vance's work here, on his website. One project we're particularly intrigued by is a short animated film Vance is creating called the Beast of Black Lake. He used Kickstarter to fund the project but is still accepting backers to help propel the project towards completion.
We're pretty sure we'll be seeing loads of great stuff from Vance in the near future.
We. Love. These. Cards.
Jill Bliss is awesome, and this new work she debuted at the Land Gallery back in January has made its way to printed matter. Find these in Jill's online shop or at the Land store in Portland.

That blue shirt of hers goes really well with orange...
Thanks Laura!

Ana Benaroya rocks the color and texture in this Scout Book! Her design and illustration work is just as lively and refreshing as these sketches suggest. Check her out!
Abby Guyer is a marketing and public relations consultant in Portland, OR who has had her hand in some seriously cool things. Her business cards seem to say, “I have it all together,” and I believe it.
New Belgium Brewery is on tour this summer with 20 short films created by their fans to spread "beer musings and filmed enlightenment." It's called the Clips of Faith Beer and Film Tour with all the proceeds going towards an organization in the host city. Pretty cool, huh? Even cooler, they enlisted our notebook-making expertise to help them create special Scout Books for their beer-tasting needs.
The good folks over at New Belgium sent us some photos from the recent Madison event and it looks like they had a ton of fun. Check out the rest of the tour locations here–if you're lucky, they might be coming to a city near you!
Every day this week, we’ll share a new Scout Book filled with creative goodness from the members of Chicago collaborative The Post Family. Awesome!

Alex Fuller makes beautiful, bright, bold work. In addition to being a partner at The Post Family, Alex is the co-founder of the Illustration Corporation and helped create Ogilvy’s brand design group, 485. Alex, you're a very busy guy!
We very excited that he took the time to fill this Scout Book so expertly with collage work. We even see some letterpress bits and pieces in there!

We're pleased to share it with you.
Our talented friend Will Bryant is fast becoming an expert at drawing directly onto DIY Scout Books! Here is a peek at some Scout Books he customized at Coachella last month while he was down in California working with Ray Ban, Levi's, and the Ace Hotel.
Photo borrowed from Will's Flickr! See more of Will's work on Scout Books in this Scout Books flickr set.
Looks like springtime in Portland to me: rain, rain and more rain.
And fashionable umbrellas.
Look for these Hot off the Press Designer Cards from Nikki McClure in sweet spots all around Portland.
Jesse Hora is an art director, an illustrator and an Michigan native. He filled these Scout Books with fun, funky sketches and smart illustrations. A super sweet ongoing illustration project of his is Athlete Objects, in which he creates his interpretations of 1980s and 1990s athletes based off of their names, his childhood memories, and their Wikipedia entries. Pretty fresh!
