Corey Thompson fills Scout Books with a regularity that puts me to shame. Sure, I go through a few a month, but my to-do lists and notes are hardly as inspiring as his sweet, sweet sketches. Corey posts filled-up Scout Books to his site regularly, so check there often for pocket-sized creativity.
A chipboard postcard for an event happening this Saturday, September 19!
Art and Beer at the Museum is a project presented by Eric Steen that is a collaboration between three Portland Breweries (Laurelwood, Lompoc and Lucky Lab), the Portland Art Museum, Portland State's Social Practice MFA Program and Steen himself.
This is part of PAM's Shine a Light: A Night at the Museum event. Read more about the event here, and be sure not to miss it!
Jesse Hora is an art director, an illustrator and an Michigan native. He filled these Scout Books with fun, funky sketches and smart illustrations. A super sweet ongoing illustration project of his is Athlete Objects, in which he creates his interpretations of 1980s and 1990s athletes based off of their names, his childhood memories, and their Wikipedia entries. Pretty fresh!

These Scout Books were made for the Brand New Conference this Friday, Nov. 5th! Brand New is a one day event held by UnderConsideration on the development of corporate and brand identity projects. They have quite the line-up which I can imagine makes for a super full and intense day of identity talk. Don't worry though, there will be an after party.

Corey Thompson makes art, does graphic design, and writes an awesome blog called Super Duper.
He fills Scout Books like no one else we know; glimpse his awesome filled pocket notebooks over on his portfolio site.
Cyan, magenta, yellow and black never looked so good...
While we atPinball Publishing has gained a name for ourselves with its focus on beautiful spot-color printing, on occasion, we also get to show off their CMYK offset abilities. With the right project, the full-color results can be spectacular, so the award winning designers at Studio DUNN knew they were in good hands! These postcards turned out beautifully.
Props to Brent Wick for the terrific press operation.
The Center for Sustainable Design Studies, or CSDS, at Pratt Institute is an unprecedented resource center for all things design and all things sustainable. Check out their website!
Every day this week, we’ll share a new Scout Book filled with creative goodness from the members of Chicago collaborative The Post Family. Awesome!

Alex Fuller makes beautiful, bright, bold work. In addition to being a partner at The Post Family, Alex is the co-founder of the Illustration Corporation and helped create Ogilvy’s brand design group, 485. Alex, you're a very busy guy!
We very excited that he took the time to fill this Scout Book so expertly with collage work. We even see some letterpress bits and pieces in there!
From the creator of 33 Bottles of Beer and 33 Bottles of Wine comes 33 Cups of Coffee. And none too soon as the Winter months are in full swing! Nothing comes close to a piping hot cup of coffee when it's chilly out.
In true 33 Books fashion, this journal comes complete with a flavor wheel, demystifier, and of course, a little something in the ink! That’s right, a few drops of coffee were added to the ink during the printing of this book.
So head over to your favorite coffee shop or brew some up at home and start your coffee-tasting journey with 33 Cups of Coffee in hand!

We had a blast participating in the Renegade Craft Fair this year and thought all you interested people would love to see some of the rad photos we took while we were there. Thanks to those of you who stopped by our booth! As mentioned before, this year we put on the first ever Scout Books Art Market where the notebooks were customized by loads of super talented artists, illustrators and designers.
Will Bryant is a freelance creative at Public School living in Austin, TX. He created this fantastic book and we are so thrilled to be able to offer it in our shop! Every inch of this book's cover is filled with Will's illustration and the blank interior is just waiting to be filled by you!
Visual by Milton Keynes-leading art-creative, Robert Rusin. An amazingly attractive aerial picture of Furzton Lake shoreline, turned into some postcard/greetings card design or an advert for MK's local tourism.
Jason Duerr is Dropkick Design. He created this terrific poster that really speaks to winter in Portland!
Java City is a California-based coffee company founded on principles of respect for community and environment.
They created these bold Scout Books as part of a recent giveaway promotional. Fantastic!
Vance Reeser makes animated films, creates images, crafts websites, and writes a blog. He so expertly filled up this Scout Book with some amazing character sketches–and a collage treat at the end. Not to mention the first time we've ever seen the Scout Book used as a mask! Bravo, bravo Vance! Great innovation. Great sketches.
Find Vance's work here, on his website. One project we're particularly intrigued by is a short animated film Vance is creating called the Beast of Black Lake. He used Kickstarter to fund the project but is still accepting backers to help propel the project towards completion.
We're pretty sure we'll be seeing loads of great stuff from Vance in the near future.

These Portland Bingo Cards come to us from the super-talented Bishop Lennon and Amy Ruppel. Every city should have Bingo cards; however, I think most Portlanders would agree that none would be as awesome as these. I can just imagine loading up a car full of people to go driving around, shouting out all the Portland-y things you find while everyone hangs their flailing limbs out of the rolled-down windows. Thanks to Amy Ruppel for providing the great photos you see here. The cards turned out fantastic!
