When does street art end and fine art begins? It is hard to make that distinction anymore, and the pieces seen at ABHK certainly reflects the trend.
For over 40 years, two artists in the UK collaborated under the name “Gilbert & George,” which is comprised of Gilbert Proesch (b. 1943-09-17 in San Martin de Tor, Italy) and George Passmore (b. 1942-01-08 in Plymouth, UK).
This mixed media painting titled “Jacksie” were done in 2008, when both artists are well in their 60s, but there is no shortage of WTF in their work—which has elements similar to that of graffiti seen on the streets of London except that they are shown in well known galleries.
It is awesome to find a partner in crime—life long marriage in art. Sweet.

I'm back to the brown hills of California, a stark contrast to the green of New Zealand. This is a few hundred meters from where I live. Herds of goats strip graze the underbrush to minimize the risk of wildfires. Very effective, but massively detrimental to the wildlife.
Also means kids have the option of shepherding as a summer job. Now that's something I wouldn't have predicted a decade ago.

Japanese Edo-era public domain woodblock prints by Ogata Gekkō (1859-1920). His talents included designing lacquer and pottery, ukiyo-e printing, Nihonga style, Shijo-style, and Chinese painting. Influenced by Hokusai, he created beautiful paintings of women, and the famous "100 views of Mount Fuji" series.

My photoblog: frozenfortunes.blogspot.com
This was taken this weekend at home when I was too lazy to venture out for a photoshoot. We (We here includes my wife) had taken out our camera to capture a spider in its web but it proved too complex with the lights being a bit too harsh and the spider being too small.... After repeated tries, we decided to go to the 2nd floor open terrace to see if there is anything interesting there. The sun had just started going down and the decision to capture some urban sunset shots was very natural.
The building here is an apartment complex opposite to our house and the lines were playing tricks with my eye on whether there was any tilt with the photo. I checked with the lines feature of photoshop to make sure there is no tilt but the optical illusion is still there........
