We stopped by a store called Girl This in Smithfield which catered to all things girly. There was a station in the store at which girls could make their own potions and lotions and creams and toiletries. Of course glitter was involved.

Participants created their online spaces to collaborate - e.g., Google Plus communities

To help all of our mothers here at the ranch feel even more beautiful, Life Enrichment helped make corsages.

Created in Photoshop from two separate images. You will need to do the cross-eyed thing to see the 3D effect.

We’re creating a Haunted House with lower-school students in our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français this fall.

In this after-school workshop, students are building a fantasy world together, with magical creatures, ghosts, witches and other animated characters inspired by Halloween.

We are combining arts and technology to bring their creations to life: each student will have their own room in our haunted house, and they will learn to build simple robots with motors and Arduino, then play with lights and sounds to tell their stories for our ‘show and tell’.

For our first class, we invited students to plan their Haunted House together, then design their rooms and characters, to be featured inside their cardboard ‘wonderboxes.’ My associate Sarah Brewer showed them how to create their own electronic circuit to light up an LED, using copper tape to connect the LED to the battery.

We teach this class to students in grades 4 and 5 at the Lycée Français in Sausalito, every Thursday at 3:30pm, from September 15 to December 15, 2016.

Assignment: create a scene that looks more like what you saw than a photograph of the scene could otherwise convey.

these are some photographs that i created by drawing with light. I had the camera set ti a shutter speed of 15 seconds so that the camera was able to capture the light. It was also on an aperture of f/8 and ISO of 400. This was a good medium, not too big to too small, There was not enough light for the camera to focus itself therefore I had to use the manual focus. Also, some cameras sent out light which stopped other peoples cameras from working as they should.

I had to use a tripod to keep the photos still otherwise the light would move with the camera rather than the torch used. However, i had a second attempt, and this time experimented by ovine the camera instead. I personally prefer these results.

i think that these images are successful as they're focused correctly on the light and capture the whole technique. Also, the photos look better with different colours used in them as they look more eye-catching and interesting.

i discovered that it is easier to make the shapes that you want using a torch, but easier to create patterns by moving just the camera.

I think that i might consider perusing this technique of photographing.

This is where I create. The desk is built in to a little nook upstairs in our bedroom and looks over our backyard. Magical, simply magical.

this is a conceptual piece where I try to develop and explore new ideas and techniques, in this piece i started with very clean lines and fills and then at the end went crazy with white and black to add depth to the piece. I must take photos of the different stages as I feel it would give a lot more of a story of how this is produced and help to turn this from a contrived piece into something I could do off the cuff

Our 6-8 group created character cones inspired by Hansel & Gretel. Here is a colourful example by Ben - we really like the way he has drawn the teeth!
