Each and every room, stairwell and corridor in the Art Institute, Chicago suggest delicious ways to create images. This location was near the cafeteria.
What a delightfully creative cauldron for the students who attend the School of the Art Institute, one of the top art and design schools in the USA offering undergraduate and graduate degrees.

When I think about the kind of person I really am at heart, I'd describe myself first and foremost as an introvert. Some people laugh at this because my work suggests otherwise but the reality is that it took me years to find the courage to model. It's something I'd always wanted to do but it also terrified me because I am *definitely* the kind of person who is most comfortable with a good book by the pool.
It usually takes me a long time to feel comfortable around someone and even longer to start to really be myself. This passion of mine forces me to push myself outside of my comfort zone regularly and I do it because I think it makes me the best version of myself; even when I struggle sometimes with the need for privacy vs the need to do what I love.
Ultimately this is my dream. I'm not really 'model material' in so many ways but I love it to bits and it pushes me outside of my comfort zone regularly - which I think is the secret to finding fulfilment in your life. Not all risks are worth the reward but if you don't push yourself every so often, you'll never know if that one decision could have been the one to change your life.

Created for the Saturday Self Challenge :- Peace.
The rose represents peace ( not sure if it is a peace rose but it is the closest I have in the garden and it has been there for seventeen years ) and the candles are self explanatory . I did have in mind the candles for the square challenge before I used the tiles . Both shots are SOOC apart from cropping and a little straightening of the candles and put together in My Craft Studio .
As Val said we all need peace - I will go further to say Peace , Love and Understanding would go a long way !!!!
Oh Val --Penn-Bloedh Lowen Dhiso Jy ( " Happy Birthday To You " in Cornish )
Well , with a title like that the first thing that comes to mind are the days when we wore bright coloured loons and slop shirts BUT no shoes ! So get some flowers for your hair and off to San Francisco with you .

Cranmer Courts was very badly damaged in the quakes that unexpectedly hit Christchurch. Originally big photographs were put into the holes where the doors and windows were, but now these massive pictures have been put across the boarded up ends of the buildings to keep them alive in the minds of the people of Christchurch.
The project was thought up by Mike Hewson.

Created and folded by me, October 2007.
I thought I would never do it again, but: Wet-folded, from an 8.5 inch square of thick paper my little brother gave me a number of years ago. It's not really green.
Look at the spiral groove on the tusk.
Since it's built on diagonal symmetry, it comes out very long. I think it was 10-11 inches long.

This was the first time I had gone to a wannaGoFast event. I went on a Saturday, September 17th, 2016 to the Heaven's Landing Airstrip located in Clayton, Georgia. I want to thank the wannaGoFast organization for providing me a media pass to this event. I would certainly go again in the future. If you never been to such an event, you should go at least once and see what it's really like to see cars going their fastest. This was the first time I had ever seen a Lamborghini go over 200mph in person !
The wannaGoFast organization was founded in order to fill a niche in the motorsports marketplace. Our goal was to create a safe and controlled environment for fellow car enthusiasts to pursue their “Need For Speed” without the restrictions of the standard 1/8 or 1/4 mile drag strip. See what it’s like to hit speeds you’ve only dreamed of without the risk of law enforcement or causing injury to others, while being surrounded by on-site safety personnel.
