➤ Your image must depict a destination: a famous landmark, a tropical beach, a luxurious hotel, the planet Krypton, etc.

➤ It must also include an object with text: a book, letter, sign, etc.
➤ The source of light for the composition must be visibly displayed: the sun or moon, streetlights, a bonfire, floor lamp, etc.

Les Arcs es una estación de esquí situada en Saboya, Francia, cerca de Bourg-Saint-Maurice, junto al Mont-Blanc en la región de Auvernia-Ródano-Alpes y fue creada por Robert Blanc y Roger Godino. Está compuesta por cuatro áreas, denominadas por su altitud aproximada.
El dominio esquiable es de unos 200 km repartidos entre 106 pistas, principalmente azules y rojas. El 11% del dominio está cubierto artificialmente. Está compuesto por dos vertientes: por un lado Arc 1600 y Arc 1800 y por otro Arc 1950 y Arc 2000.
Los dominios de Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry y La Plagne están unidos por el teleférico Vanoise Express, y forman el dominio Paradiski, con 425 km de pistas.
Su punto culminante es el pico Aiguille Rouge, de 3.226 msnm, situado sobre el dominio Arc 2000 y accesible por teleférico.
Les Arcs is a ski resort located in Savoie, France, near Bourg-Saint-Maurice, next to Mont-Blanc in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and was created by Robert Blanc and Roger Godino. It is made up of four areas, named by their approximate altitude.
The ski area is about 200 km spread over 106 slopes, mainly blue and red. 11% of the domain is artificially covered. It is made up of two slopes: on the one hand Arc 1600 and Arc 1800 and on the other Arc 1950 and Arc 2000.
The domains of Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne are linked by the Vanoise Express cable car, and form the Paradiski domain, with 425 km of slopes.
Its highest point is the Aiguille Rouge peak, 3,226 meters above sea level, located on the Arc 2000 domain and accessible by cable car.

I wanted to create a simpler and more visceral image having mood over concept with this piece. Wet streets at night in big cities catching and reflecting the many sources and colours of light have always had an intoxicating effect on me.
2 Old shots from 2010, when I first started photography. Layered, repeated with inner glow added and drawn over with line and text. Image compiled May, 2017.
No matter how old I get, or the song, in these environments Jimi Hendrix's "The Wind Cries Mary" never fails to play in my head. With that firmly in mind, I've taken a line from "The Wind Cries Mary" and included it in the image and selected part of it from the flow of words to title the image. I hope I do "The Wind Cries... " some justice with this. There isn't another song by the late genius that affects me more deeply.

Due to the Hendrix family's extreme copyright and performance restrictions on the late artist's material you cannot find the original version on You Tube to watch or listen to. Some bad bootleg videos are there and 5,000 covers by just about everyone from pro's to bedroom guitarists. Other sources exist for this incredible song but you'll have to pay for it.
As an alternative music track, I've chosen a gorgeous piece by avant garde trumpeter/composer, Jon Hassell. "Amsterdam Blue" from the "Million Dollar Hotel" soundtrack.
