"Fire can burn
Fire can heal
Fire can destroy
Fire can create
Fire can kill
Fire can save
Fire is here
Fire is there
Fire is everywhere
Fire in burn forever
Fire is my enemy
Fire is my friend...!!"

Individual “ants” before attaching to Chain-link fence.
This was my submission ("Create...") to the 1st Annual Chain-link Fence Art Exhibition and Competition. Had a lot of fun with this, inspired by chain-link fencing of which I’ve never worked with before, tricky stuff ;) My arms got a work out.
MATERIALS: 4 ft. x 4ft. scrap piece of chain-link fencing, a found barbeque grill (web), crystals, glass beads, found metal nuts/bolts/washers, metal wire and scrap telephone wire. I wanted people to discover the message in the spider’s web, “create” that would tie into the leading ant’s message of peace, happiness, laughter, love, opportunity, dreams, something(!). It’s good fun if we choose to create positive things for ourselves and the world :)
If you are curious about the process and the other versions/redo’s that went into this piece, please visit my blog to see more!

Working up bits and bobs for the Strong Island Exhibition at The Round Tower this Friday 15th April in Old Portsmouth using rubber stamps and a bowl of teabags.

Title: Black Diamond
Teacher: Mrs. Temples
Theme: From Coal to Steam
Materials and techniques: Pen and spray paint for the background.
Did you enjoy this project? I was alone while working on this project, and had a lot of fun using art to answer the prompt.
About: This project is about the heart of northeastern Pennsylvania, and it illustrates how coal was an integral part of the society, both social and economic. I chose the diamond shape because it represents the structure of the black diamond.

Falko is one of South Africa's foremost graffiti arstists, a legend who I greatly admire for the beauty he creates in small towns. These pieces were painted in Prince Albert - It's a beautiful hamlet that attracts tourists from far and wide. Unfortunately there is also a harsher side, unemployment, poverty, heat and a hard life for the disadvantaged......

Dozens of leaders gathered for an exclusive reception focused on creating lasting change in our region at EdgeWild Restaurant and Winery in Chesterfield, MO on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Guests heard firsthand from local leaders, including Rich McClure and Rev. Starsky Wilson on the work of the Ferguson Commission, Scott Schnuck on addressing local hunger and Connie Cunningham on Ready by 21 St. Louis, a process designed to help youth success in St. Louis County, St. Louis City and St. Charles County. Plenty of delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks were provided courtesy of EdgeWild throughout the night.

We are creating a fairy tale around Violet and Indigo, two ducks artfully decorated by Dr. Canard, which we’ve now turned into 'poetic robots’.
With the help of Drs. Figurine and Zboon, we have started a first story outline to guide their interactions, with dialog, music, sound effects, props and backdrops. Our goal is to capture the best scenes on video and edit it all together into a compelling story at the end of this project. I can’t wait to see how far we can go with this.
For this experiment with wonderbots and interactive storytelling, I am building a small puppet theater in my studio. Before building out a permanent framework, we are testing a few ideas, to best combine physical objects with digital images and sounds.
More to come ...
She has a great face and I LOVE the wings, but the wig is awful.
