Following the earthquakes, Shigeru Ban (who is characterised as a "disaster architect") was invited to Christchurch by Rev. Craig Dixon.
The Church is A-frame in style, rising 24 metres (79 ft), it incorporates 86 cardboard tubes of 500 kilograms (1,100 lb) each atop 6 metres (20 ft) long containers.
Exposed cardboard that had become wet before the building was fully enclosed had to be removed and replaced.
I took this photo 23 March 2015, 3 years since its official opening in April 2012.
Having seen this KW around before I was pleased to get a shot of this striking colour scheme on the Craig Arthur transport services cabover at the BP road house on the Newell Highway in Parkes, NSW.

I did a lot of things to change this image and make it look this way. I didn't like the way I looked in the original image, so I cropped myself out. I thought Craig's head was inclined too far, so I did some straightening (although you can tell the street behind him is at quite an angle. I also used Aperture 2.0 to enhance saturation, lift shadows, recover blown highlights, and apply a vignette effect-- a new feature, yay!
This is the shot of Craig's hut, that i'm sure a lot of people have taken. It is an amazing place, and kinda hard to get to... driving several hours of dirt roads up a mountain and walking another 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back. But it does really feel like you are on top of Australia.
This place is the hut used in the movie the man from snowy river. I kinda wanna watch it now. I spent two days up here trying to get the right light, but it never really came. Guess I gotta go back...
Craig had just come back from Latitudes Festival, which was the first major event to be held following the lifting of most Covid restrictions in England. he was still in high spirits when I approached to ask to take a photo
Craig-y-Nos Castle (English: Rock of the Night), is a Victorian-Gothic country house in Wales. Built on parkland beside the River Tawe in the upper Swansea Valley, it is located on the southern edge of Fforest Fawr in Powys. The former estate of opera singer Adelina Patti, part of the complex is now used as a boutique hotel, catering, conferencing and entertainment venue. The castle grounds are surrounded by a designated country park, which is now part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Adelina Patti purchased the castle and surrounding park land for £3500 in 1878,[5] to develop it as her own private estate. The prima donna had reached the soaring heights of a spectacular career. She spent the rest of her life at Craig-y-nos, leaving it only to sing in the premier opera houses of Europe and to tour the United States, captivating the world with her flawless soprano voice

An 'Austerity' tank - thought to be Bagnall 2758/44 - shunts at Craig Merthyr colliery near Pontardulais, May 78. This was an amazingly scenic industrial railway, and when this was taken had just weeks to live. Like many Coal Board systems it ran early shift only, normally producing two return trips each morning.
Ailsa Craig is an island of 99 hectares (240 acres) in the outer Firth of Clyde, 16 kilometres (10 miles) west of mainland Scotland, upon which blue hone granite was quarried to make curling stones. The now uninhabited island is formed from the volcanic plug of an extinct volcano.
The island, colloquially known as "Paddy's milestone" was a haven for Catholics during the Scottish Reformation in the 16th century, but is today a bird sanctuary, providing a home for huge numbers of gannets and an increasing number of puffins.
A ruined house at Craig on the Torridon coast. The land across the water in the distance is the northern end of Skye.

Craig is a hot rod builder, and shared stories of cars from the past and present , which, being a motorhead myself, I found interesting.

Craig Bothwell, a fantastic personal trainer. You may have guessed that. I don't have any more feelings left to eat :/
