One of the holes on the back 9 - this is a public course. I have wanted to play the back 9 for over a year and today I did by playing 18 holes. I got to play with some great ladies and we had so much fun - maybe too much! Look at that blue sky :)
I actually grew up just a few blocks from here and this course has very fond memories for me, but not for golf. When my Dad and I would go fishing for Trout, we would come here very late at night, the night before we would leave, and go to the greens that had been watered and get "nightcrawlers" - that's worms for you non-fishing people. The trout seemed to love them:)
Golf at it’s challenging and inspirational best. National recognition in golf magazines throughout the U.S. has made it a must-stop for players exploring Oregon courses.

In South France, bullfighting is known alternately as "course libre" or "course camarguaise". This is a bloodless spectacle (for the bulls) in which the objective is to snatch a rosette from the head of a young bull.
For a period of about 15-20 minutes, the raseteurs compete to snatch rosettes (cocarde) tied between the bulls' horns. They don't take the rosette with their bare hands but with a claw-shaped metal instrument called a raset in their hands, hence their name. Afterwards, the bulls are herded back to their pen by gardians (Camarguais cowboys) in a bandido, amidst a great deal of ceremony. The star of these spectacles are the bulls, who get top billing and stand to gain fame and statues in their honor.
Although the course camarguaise does not end in the death of the bull, it is at least as dangerous to the human contestants as a corrida.
but it's a folk festival, where one likes to go in traditional costumes

Spaghettini and generous amounts of Dungeness crab meat dressed liberally with a savory and creamy-buttery nettle pesto. The little nes of pasta was topped with a succulent morsel of Dungeness crab.
Notes: You wanna know how hard it was for me not to lick the plate? I'm not even a huge pasta fan and I *LOVED* this course. I think it was my favorite of the evening.
First, let me say, this was perfect pasta. I don't care if it came out of a package or was home made, it was cooked to my liking... just al dente enough to be firm, but not grity or raw.
The nettle pesto was WAY good. It sent shivers down my spine. A generous portion of shredded Dungeness crab meat was thick with the buttery, nutty, creamy (without being heavy) and very salty, the pesto. I assume from the name (but didn't bother to confirm) that the pasta mix also contained raw egg yolk (which explains the creaminess).
The nugget of whole Dungeness crab meat was very much the "cherry on top."
Riding home in the blazing late afternoon sunshine, after a splendid Easter Sunday lunch. I motorbiked because I was tired from cycling six days in a row.

The Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course - is the home The Fiji International, a $1.2 million event jointly-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia Tour
Natadola Beach on Fiji’s Coral Coast is the site of a championship golf course - Natadola Bay. In October 2016 owners Natadola Bay Resort Limited re-invested in the course by bringing original designer Vijay Singh back in to make a few player-friendly changes. Along with the golf architect Greg Letsche they went about making changes to 10 of the 18 holes. Fifteen of the 18 holes have the dramatic backdrop of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean. The clubhouse is styled in traditional South Pacific architecture. The tees boxes, fairways and greens are immaculately manicured with seashore paspalum - a salt-tolerant grass. Alongside the golf course is the Intercontinental Golf Resort and Spa. The course location is on Fiji’s Coral Coast, about 50 minutes’ drive south of Nadi International Airport on the main island of Viti Levu. Balabala tree figureheads beside each fairway mark 150 metres to the centre of the greens, while the tee markers are shaped like ‘neck-breakers’, which are tools used to crack open coconuts.
The course was developed by Natadola Bay Resort Ltd (NBRL), which is the commercial arm of the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF). NBRL invested US $125 million into the development – the largest of its kind ever undertaken in Fiji – which included the neighbouring five-star Intercontinental Resort. Construction is on-going on a residential development on land between the resort and the golf course.
