"All You Need Is Love" is a famous song by The Beatles, written by John Lennon and credited to the songwriting partnership of Lennon/McCartney. It was first performed by The Beatles on Our World, the first live global television link, on June 25, 1967. The song's message emphasizes the importance of love and unity as a fundamental force that can bring people together.
I did a little mix with some bokeh! Don`t know what is bokeh ?
Certainly! "Bokeh" (pronounced boh-keh) is a term in photography that refers to the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image. This effect is produced by a lens and is distinct from a simple blurry background; bokeh characterizes how pleasing and aesthetic the blurred points of light appear.
Key aspects of bokeh photography include:
Aesthetic Quality: Not all blur is considered bokeh. The term specifically describes the pleasing or aesthetic quality of the out-of-focus blur. This might mean soft circles of light or a smooth, creamy background that doesn't distract from the main subject.
Aperture: Large apertures (small f-number, e.g., f/1.4 or f/1.8) produce a shallower depth of field, leading to more pronounced bokeh. This is why lenses with large maximum apertures are often prized for their bokeh-rendering capabilities.
Lens Construction: The shape and quality of the bokeh are influenced by the construction of the lens, particularly the design and number of aperture blades. A lens with more rounded aperture blades will typically produce rounder, softer bokeh.
Types of Bokeh: Different lenses produce different types of bokeh. Some might produce circular bokeh, while others might produce more hexagonal bokeh, based on the shape of the aperture blades.
Subject Distance: The distance between the camera, the subject, and the background can affect the appearance of bokeh. Generally, having your subject closer to the camera and farther from the background will produce a more pronounced bokeh effect.
Background and Light: Bokeh is particularly noticeable when there are points of light in the background. This can be natural light filtering through leaves, city lights, or any other light sources in the background.
Bokeh is often sought after in portraits, where a creamy, blurred background can help the subject stand out. However, the quality and appearance of bokeh can be subjective; what one person finds appealing, another might not.
In the broader context of photography, bokeh is just one tool in a photographer's toolkit, and its use should be dictated by the desired mood, story, or effect the photographer wants to convey.

Witnessing human emotions behind the camera and capturing the purity of the moment is a very exciting experience for me, as a photographer. Things happen sometimes fast enough, and there's no room for error - these amazing moments cannot be replicated.
The shot was taken at f/1.4 with my Sigma 35mm ART, without a strobe, enabling me to keep the ISO at 1250. Yes, it was getting dark.

On Saturday, Sheri, Lindsay, Darren and I took a short walk from The Ocho to Belmont Pier to go check out the Pirate Festival on the pier. You can see a little bit of it going on in the background.
It was such a beautiful day in Long Beach, nice breeze, not too too hot out. I got a tiny bit of red on my noise, Sheri got super burnt.
There was a lot of people dressed up and in full pirate persona. Really interesting fellow wanted to take Lindsay with him. The smell of rum could be smelled on his breathe. :D
Had some clam chowder (which I LOVE) and an ice cold beer. After we made the walk down to the end and back, we played around near the shore, before heading back home. It was an overall good weekend. Looking forward to many more this summer. Next weekend it is off to Pechanga (Indian Casino) with my Grandpa to spend a day with him. I did okay there 3 years ago when I last went, would be nice to win just enough to pay off our credit cards. Not too much. Would be nice :)
Here I am. Sitting at home, listening to Bjork's new album Volta, trying to not think of how hot it is in our apartment, when I remembered that Saturday was "24 hours of Flickr".
For comic book geeks like me, it also happened to be FCBD (Free Comic Book Day) and I was going to take a photo at my favorite comic book store, Comic Universe. Well that didn't happen. I forgot Betsy at home.
The photo you see above is that of my girlfriend Sheri and I. We had friends over for Cinco De Mayo and one of them took a photo of the two of us. It happened to be one of the only photos taken on Betsy that day. I think it's a good photo of the two of us. Enjoying our night with our friends.
A nice way to end a really good day.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!
