Here is a small COBI Small Army WWII scene. It features a Russian counter-attack to recover a knocked-out T-34/76.

It includes a COBI T-34/76 (Set 2470) and Su-85 (Set 2467). The building is a very basic made from an older COBI Small Army Set 24301.

These stools from the Greensboro lunch counter where four African American young men staged a sit-in protest as they demanded the elimination of segregation.

The Greensboro Sit-Ins were non-violent protests in Greensboro, North Carolina, which lasted from February 1, 1960 to July 25, 1960. The protests led to the Woolworth Department Store chain ending its policy of racial segregation in its stores in the southern United States.

Added a second tier to the airport counter so it looked like the vintage airport counter images I found.

1. Used foam board and a cereal box cardboard. Attached with tacky craft glue and hot glue (for foam board).

2. Spray painted

3. Covered "rise" with faux woodgrain scrapbook paper

4. Added doors to lower portion of counter made from matboard covered in scrapbook paper.

5. Used craft foam for door handles

I cut everything using this purple craft board and metal straight edge/sharp X acto knife to make sure lines were all measured properly.

Maybe I shouldn't still be wearing those heels, and maybe I need a bobby pin or two!

Cutlery Works, 73 - 101 Neepsend Lane, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK.

Just perched up here on the counter top waiting for the coffee and rolls to get ready! Come join me!

Added one more drawer to make it more complete. The set came with two sticker sheets so I was able to make two menus... :D I tried to make the food that looked like those on the menu. The ice-cream cones are a bit weird so I'm just pretending those are the sundae float flavours... XD

Late May 1940

French troops with armored support counter attack a village held by the Germans near Sedan.

The Renault R35 used by the French had a more infantry support emphasis unlike other light tanks which also had reconnaissance roles. Its Puteaux SA 18 cannon was a WW1 cannon normally used against armored pillboxes or infantry.

But against tank to tank combat it really struggled.

The R35 is from Brickmania but without the trench tail. The minifigs are from their stickers packs as well which are pretty sweet! Weapons from Brickwarrios and Brickarms.

Another small diorama! Used some creator buildings and they work quite well, although I still need to make new old buildings. Let me know what you guys think!

Remember Counter-Strike?!?!?

These mean looking dudes were actually very nice chaps!

Shot on my Olympus XA on Film Ferrania P30 last weekend while out to dinner with my wife and father-in-law. Developed in my Ars Imago Lab-Box.

We're already wishing that we'd gotten the optional sink and faucet thingies. They did add a granite window sill and backsplashes so that's all good. Okay, the sink opening was cut in after the counter was set as a stone this size would break during installation otherwise. I took this photo to text it to my wife asking her if maybe we forgot something.

January 30, 1968, Vietnamese New Year's Eve

VC and NVA forces breaks agreement to cease fire during the Tết festivities and suprise American forces and their allies with coordinated atacks on several strategic bases, and main cities. Even though suprised, marines stay sharp enough to begin fighting back.

The diorama shows the USMC squad trying to stealthy re-take the city.

I took me about a month, to build this diorama, wchich is the biggest thing I have ever done, but I guess it was worth that time. Some things could be done better, I'm sure, but that's the best I could do without spending a real fortune on bricks.

Built for BAF's Vietnam scene contest.

Hope you like it.

C&C welcome,

Cheers,

A 1940's Weekend at the GCR - plenty of re-enactors in period costumes and some simulated battles. Appreciate that it's not everyone's cup of tea so will just say that it was all sensitively done.

This is a simulated assault of a German encampment soon after the D-day landings. Having initially taken the camp the American troops are now fighting off a counter-attack.

ADDENDUM: Having seen a documentary of this weekend apparently these people are re-enacting the American 505th PIR who were based in Quorn prior to D-Day.

A couple quick snapshots of a Taco Bell we stopped for lunch in San Bernardino, CA; it looks like the only addition to the restaurant was the touchscreen menus (not shown as there was too many people ordering)
