I could not pass-up photographing the Milky Way Galactic Core at Joshua Tree N.P. The sun set early and the galactic center was visible by 7:30 p.m. in October. I was able to take several images before being spooked by curious coyotes. Here, I took two pano shots and used a flash light set at a low level to illuminate the foreground. There was a fair amount of light pollution in the background and two Orionid meteors made appearances during the exposures. Used Lightroom and Photoshop to merge and develop the images. Hope you enjoy!

I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.
Could not get the right position to shoot the fog above the water rising in the sunlight with the trees on both side as that was the shot I was aiming for. But stil ended up taking this very nice photo :-)

What could be more logical than a photo of a busy honey bee on the first day of summer. Therefore - the plant is European dwarf elder (Sambucus ebulus) and of course a honey bee.

Sheesh. Couldn't even get a LHF move.
Adrian & Blissfield GP-9 1752 shoves a short cut of empty tank cars back east to its small yard at Adrian, MI after working W2 Fuel on the western outskirts of town. This after heading west completely backlit pulling three loads.
The rest of my day was similarly successful as I awaited arrival of the snow and ice storm of the century, which blanketed the northern 25% of the US from coast to coast. Good timing on my part.
The one noteworthy part of this scene is the 1867 stone arch bridge over the South Branch Raisin River, the oldest known non-covered bridge in Michigan.
What could be more tempting, an empty beach, a changeable weather forecast, and a strong wind making things happen. As the season progresses storms denude the beach of it's sand , and the rock strata is more emphasised. It's like walking on pavements of fossils. Fossil Scale is by Georgia Ruth

Another type of Caracara found in the Patagonia region was the Chimango Caracara.
This is another bird that was approaching an abandoned carcass to see what morsels it could find for itself.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

The song and sentiment pretty much expresses what I think and feel about the well meaning people who fought and resisted and just weren't represented by their senators. It also represents what I think about America. It could've been something at one point. We've lost all that now. Now, we have nothing but a plutocracy and corruption. We have nothing but racism and classism. We are left with our spoiled dreams. But, we could've moved mountains. I tried every day. The mountains just wouldn't budge.

Image 92 in this fun series of the capturing of the BULB capture. This capture is taken at Middle River in Maryland showing the smoothed out clouds and water surface. The LCD screen is photoshopped in from the long exposure capture being taken at this time.
This series allows the viewer to see conditions as they were during the shot, and then the resulting long exposure effect on the water and clouds. It also shows how people moving about 'vanish' from the long exposure.
