Walking on the beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the area of Sabaudia (LT) between Mediterranean maquis and sunsets.
The mouth of “Rio Martino” at sunset. The Pontine Plain is crossed by a lot of canals made for the reclamation of these lands formerly swampy. Flowing to the sea were created small navigable bays.
The area of the low Umbrian hills, between the medieval towns of Giove and Amelia are simply a marvel. A thousand opportunities to capture details of plants illuminated by the rays of the sun. Another moment of Magic Forest.

Came across this bee this week. I’ve never seen one of these before and had to look it up. Apparently they are solitary bees and live in burrows. What really caught my attention was the eyes. So unusual for a bee

Mantova, a sister of my home town. In the Renaissance weddings and cultural exchanges were common between Mantua and Ferrara. Built on the shores of a lake formed by the river Mincio you can see the wonderful castle.

“La Laja” is a nice place in the north of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) with a wide beach (a bit dangerous if you don’t know it) and a fall of volcanic rocks. A bit of luck give me a great sunrise.

“La Charca” Dunas de Maspalomas. A nice place, with dunes, water and often you can meet migratory birds that stop in their flight to and from the European continent
In the Saucillo area, Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) a zone of red dust, very hard, folded in waves, with a “martian” look. Awesome place.

Near Collepardo, on the slopes of the mountains La Monna and Rotonaria, in the complex of the Ernici, the Pozzo d'Antullo is a huge karst chasm that was created due to the sinking of a cave. The overhanging walls are still affected by dripping, or drops of water, and have many stalactites.
Visions of nature (and not only) through an Helios 44-2 58mm f2.0 - MMZ zebra with the inverted front lens. This is one of Pia’s favorite ways to represent the world differently.
